Rare opportunity to purchase a garaged, and well maintained 99 Tahoe. This vehicle was originally owned by a local Rural Volunteer FD and was used as the Chief's vehicle. It has a number of upgrades including: Heavy Duty Cooling (Radiator replaced last year due to crack in outlet), 100 AMP Alternator rebuilt approx 2 years ago, Transcooler. It has a number of other custom upgrades as shown in the photos. American Racing Alum. Slot wheels, Heavy Duty Chromed Push Bar with Hella Driving Lights, Cab Visor, Westin, Platimum series side bars/Steps, Full Custom Cat-back Flowmaster dual exhaust with Stainless outlets. No Accidents, Excellent Body, Excellent Interior. This truck runs well, shifts well 4wd system works perfectly, it tracks well and is comfortable and practical since the back seats fold down. We have owned the vehicle since the FD sold it and like it a lot. It was used as a spare vehicle and on weekends, and has been great, however I am getting a company vehicle and therefore have no further need of an additional vehicle. I build street rods and so am pretty knowledgeable around cars. This engine/trans combo is pretty well bullet proof. Additional new parts: 160 degree thermostat with new radiator. We thought we had a frozen power steering pump last winter, so the pump and steering box are brand new. Turned out to be a steering feedback sensor in the column. Tires are about 60% left on tread. No warning lights, engine runs 40lbs oil pressure wen warm, no leaks, no oil use at all, engine is tight. Vehicle is registered licensed and inspected in NJ until middle of next year. Autoline Detroit recently played host to Bob Lutz, and, as is always the case, the former General Motors vice chairman dished out some great commentary. Lutz was promoting his new book Car Guys vs. Bean Counters: The Battle for the Soul of American Business, and talk quickly turned to his role as it related to product development and high-level decision making at GM. While on the topic of brand management, Lutz revealed a few rather interesting tidbits about his former employer:

2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray convertible headed for Geneva debut
Mon, 28 Jan 2013While most of the world is still coming down from all the hype surrounding the debut of the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this month, we're already looking to the future. And according to Autoweek, the next chapter in the C7 story will unfold at the Geneva Motor Show in March. That's right, General Motors is reportedly using the Swiss stage as its venue to debut the Corvette Stingray convertible.
If this strikes you as odd, you aren't alone. After all, with a car that's such an American icon, we'd fully expect Chevrolet to unveil it here on our shores in either Chicago or New York. But according to Autoweek, GM is looking to boost export sales of its halo car, and since the C7 was engineered to compete with the world's best and brightest, showing it off in Geneva is somewhat of a smart move. What's more, those with sharp memories will recall that GM used the Geneva expo to debut the sixth-generation C6 Corvette convertible back in March 2004, so there's also a precedent.
Details surrounding the Corvette Stingray convertible are still slim, though we fully expect the 6.2-liter V8 and choice of either six-speed automatic or seven-speed manual transmissions to carry over unchanged. Prototypes spotted on the road showed the car fitted with a cloth convertible roof, as well.
Chevy to show redesigned Captiva in Geneva, will it come to US rental lots?
Wed, 27 Feb 2013Unless you're renting a car or driving through Orlando, Florida (the rental car capital of the US), you'll probably never see a Chevrolet Captiva - the rebadged, fleet-only version of the old Saturn Vue - on our roads, but this crossover is popular in many other parts of the world. As such, Chevrolet announced that the Captiva will be getting an update for 2013, which will be unveiled next week at the Geneva Motor Show.
Coming off a pretty extensive refresh in 2011, the 2013 model year will bring even more changes to the Captiva like LED taillights, new 18-inch wheels and revised fascias with a new grille and fog lights up front and inset chrome exhaust outlets at the rear. New interior features include heated rear seats, dual-zone climate control as well as available options on some of the upper trim levels such as leather seating and keyless entry and start. We have yet to hear back from Chevrolet as to whether or not the updated Captiva will be making its way to a rental lot near you, as the model is only available in the US to fleet buyers.
Alongside the updated Captiva, Chevy is also showing off its new Trax in Europe, where the subcompact crossover will go on sale this spring. GM's press release for these two Geneva-bound models is posted below.
