For sale is this beautiful, rare 1997 Chevy Tahoe 1500 LS with Centurion Conversion. It has the 5.7L V8 Vortec motor, automatic transmission and 4-wheel drive. The odometer reads 111,642 miles but we are selling it as EXEMPT due to it being over 10 years old, we are as honest, meticulous and descriptive as possible in our auctions, it also has the general wear & tear for it being a 97' and does have a small ding on the front drivers side fender. But other than that this thing is in EXCELLENT condition, the paint & body is in great shape, and it has a clean interior. It has the Centurion Conversion which includes things like the Centurion seats, one-piece fender flares & running boards, this is a VERY expensive conversion and you see less and less of them, this one in peticular is in EXCELLENT condition. Don't let this one slip through your fingers, it is a Beautiful & rare Tahoe and is great shape. Expect greater differentiation in GM's next-generation SUVs
Thu, 03 Jan 2013General Motors says its next-generation Chevrolet Tahoe, Suburban, GMC Yukon and Cadillac Escalade models will offer shoppers improved interior differentiation. Car and Driver recently caught up with Chris Hilts, GM's creative manager of interior design, who said that the cabins will all feature unique instrument panels, consoles, center stacks and switchgear moving forward. Apparently GM is now aware that consumers may be bothered by the fact that today's $85,000 Escalade has effectively the same cabin as a $45,000 Tahoe. Hilts says SUV buyers want more refinement than their pickup purchasing counterparts - and those same buyers also want their SUVs to have more exterior differentiation between the company's Silverado and Sierra pickup lines. Shocking.
That all sounds good to us, but we've heard this song and dance before. GM made big waves about how different the new-for-2013 Silverado and Sierra would look from each other, but judging by what we've seen so far, GM's stylists are painting in shades rather than with the full spectrum. GM throttles back Chevy Malibu, Buick LaCrosse production over swollen inventories
Wed, 06 Feb 2013As inventory of the Chevrolet Malibu and Buick LaCrosse continues to pile up, General Motors will be idling its Fairfax Assembly Plant for two weeks, according to Automotive News. This move comes about a month after the plant was shut down for three weeks in late December and early January for the same reason. As of January 31, the GM had a 94-day supply of Malibu stock while the LaCrosse was a little worse with a 117-day supply.
Just last week, GM announced that it would be investing $600 million in upgrading this plant, but it's unclear what future plans the company has in store for Fairfax considering slow sales of both the plant's models. We do expect a refreshed and more luxurious LaCrosse shortly and an early design update for the Malibu to be announced at some point this year, although we have had no official word as to when either will happen.
