Up for sale is my 2008 Chevy Tahoe PPV (police pursuit vehicle). It only has 77,7XX miles on it. This is no normal Tahoe. This has upgraded HD lowered factory suspension Sits at the same height as my wives Escalade with a 3" drop. Hugs the road and corners like a race car.Cooled tranny and power steering fluid and souped up ECM programming, and so on. If your looking at htis Tahoe you already know what there made for and capable of. It comes with the powerful 5.3 L Vortec, Flex Fuel capable, again with special programming.

This isn't a soccer moms SUV. All police pursuit quality. This is not some beat up BP Tahoe. This was a take home vehicle for a Federal agent (my friend). So its in great shape. Cruise control, ice cold AC, CD, power locks, windows, drivers seat and remote start (great for those hot summers and freezing winters). No mounting equipment marks or holes on the dash. Has 2 holes in the roof from antennas but there plugged and water tight (not visable unless you climb up on truck).

The interior is also in great shape. Cloth front seats with stock Chevy center console and vinyl rear seats. Has police dual color LED interior light (white and also has a red/IR mode for stealth). comes with rubber floor but also includes Weather Tech liners in front and back. No rips holes or stain on the seats. And best of all...MADE IN THE USA in Arlington, TX !!!Comes on black stock steelies with 265 60 17 Goodyear RSA's.

GM recalls Chevy Express, GMC Savana over rollaway concern

Mon, 21 Jan 2013

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a recall notice for a small number of General Motors fullsize vans due to possible rollaway concerns. On certain 2013 Chevrolet Express and 2013 GMC Savana models, it is possible to remove the key from the ignition without the shifter being in park.
Only 980 total units are being affected by this recall, and GM is fixing the issue by replacing the ignition cylinder and associated keys. Affected Chevy vans were built during most of November and December while its GMC counterpart was only built for a week in November. The recall goes into effect on January 23, and to find out if your vehicle applies to the recall, the GM and NHTSA contact numbers can be found on the official recall notice, which is posted below.

Chevy might've pulled out of NASCAR if it weren't for new Gen 6 car

Wed, 20 Feb 2013

We've been on the fence with NASCAR for some time now. On one hand, it's some of the closest racing anywhere in motorsports, with actual passing and door-handle-to-door-handle action as a matter of course. But on the other, it's become template racing - a personality-driven sport more about the drivers than any sort of loyalty to a particular automaker. The Car Of Tomorrow format really rammed that message home, with a racecar's identity coming down to little more than headlamp stickers slapped on the nose. That's not necessarily a bad thing in and of itself, but we've wondered for some time what's in it for the automakers, who pay big money to stay in a series that has had little increasingly little do with street car sales, let alone innovation.
Apparently General Motors was beginning to wonder the same thing. In a new ESPN report, Rick Hendrick, team owner of Hendrick Motorsports, suggests that GM would have seriously considered leaving NASCAR if it wasn't for the move away from the COT to the new Gen 6 racer. According to Hendrick, GM North America boss Mark Reuss spearheaded the charge away from the 2007 COT and toward a racecar with clearer automaker ties - cars like the new Chevrolet SS racer shown above. Learn more about the fight for a closer-to-production look in the ESPN story at the link.
Now, if we could just get more rear-wheel drive V8 coupes into showrooms....

Subprime financing on the rise in new car sales, leasing too

Fri, 07 Dec 2012

We all remember the financial crisis that began several years back. At its core was a splurge of subprime lending for housing loans. The housing bubble burst, triggering a collapse of the mortgage-backed securities market. Apparently, those types of loans still exist in the automotive industry, and the market share for these types of "nonprime, subprime, and deep subprime," loans has grown 13.6 percent compared to the third quarter a year ago.
According to an Automotive News report, high-risk lending expanded to 24.8 percent of total loans in Q3, up from 21.9 percent for this time last year. As this level increased, average credit scores of borrowers dropped to 755, down from 763 a year ago. In that time, the average financing amount increased $90 per vehicle, to $25,963.
At 818, Volvo maintains the highest per-owner credit score, while Mitsubishi has the lowest, at 694. The highest rate of borrowers was at Toyota, with 14 percent of the market, followed by Ford with 13.1 percent and Chevrolet at 11.1.
