The white exterior paint has a few small chips but very hard to notice. Inside the vehicle is black leather seating in great condition. This is one of my vehicles and I have no children so middle seating was not sat in much. Front bucket seats are still in wonderful condition. Many times you will see leather start to crack and wear but mine has been very well taken care of. All the windows are tinted around 30% and all are fully functional up and down. Driver's window has a small mark in the tint but once again very hard to notice. The rear of the vehicle is a great place to load things or you can add the third row seat. Underneath the utility mat are the brackets for the third row, however I have never had the third row because I had no use for it. Rear door opens from the bottom and lifts up. Also there is a button on the keyless entry/remote start keypad that allows you to just open the rear glass. This is a very nice SUV."

I have decided to sell my 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe LT because I recently purchased a Lexus sedan. My Tahoe is white on the exterior and black leather with wood grain on the interior. The leather seats are in like new condition with no cracks or holes. The SUV is two wheel drive with 24 inch rims and tires ($2,400.00) that were purchased brand new and put on in April of 2013. Originally it had factory 20 inch Chevrolet rims and tires which I currently have garaged for the winner of the auction. It has privacy glass windows and running boards. There are two bucket seats up front, a bench seat in the middle, and had the mounts installed for the third row, however I do not own the third seat. It has a V8 engine with an aftermarket cold air intake for improved gas mileage. The Tahoe has approximately 82,000 miles and has been serviced regularly. Inside there is a single disc CD player with an auxiliary plug for iPods, iPhones, etc. The speakers are Bose and vehicle is equipped with power everything, but no sunroof. It comes with keyless entry and also automatic start. Middle row also has controls for air, headphones, etc.  Below shows Kelley Blue Book values and some factory specs.

Next Corvette ZR1 to get 700 horsepower?

Tue, 19 Feb 2013

Word has it General Motors may offer as much as 700 horsepower in the C7 Corvette ZR1. Motor Trend reports the next Corvette Z06 will continue to rely on its naturally aspirated 7.0-liter V8 engine for thrust, but the lump will deliver substantially more power. How much more? MT says the engine could deliver up to 600 ponies. That's a jump of 95 horsepower over the current Z06, though no figures have been finalized as of yet. Right now, GM is reportedly waiting to see what sort of grunt it can glean from the next ZR1.
The automaker has already made it clear it will resurrect the LT5 name for the new supercharged V8, and if GM is already pulling 600 from the Z06, the big dog ZR1 would theoretically offer 700 horsepower. Either way, the range-topping Corvette will be suitably insulated from its less potent siblings. Stay tuned. We aren't likely to see the Z06 for at least a year, with the ZR1 trailing along at some point there after.

Experimental mid-engine XP-819 Corvette going up for auction

Sun, 17 Feb 2013

It seems to be commonplace that when a new Corvette is in development, rumors swirl about a possible mid-engine layout. As is the case of Chevy's most recent C7 Corvette, these rumors never pan out.
In any case, the idea for a 'Vette with an engine mounted behind the driver can probably all be traced back to a single car, the 1964 XP-819 prototype. Built as an "engineering exercise" back in 1964, the prototype was designed with a rear-mounted engine. History tells us that the idea of a rear-engine Corvette fizzled, and the XP-819 was eventually cut up into pieces and stored at a shop in Daytona Beach, FL.
After sitting for untold years, a restoration project started on the car, and while it isn't yet fully completed, the current owner of the car, Mid America Motorworks, will have the car on display at the 2013 Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance as a "driveable chassis" with hopes of having a fully completed car ready to bring to next year's show.

The story of the 2014 Chevrolet SS: "Luxury, power, refinement, handling"

Thu, 07 Mar 2013

Not including the women and men who built it, the 2014 Chevrolet SS has only been seen in person by a piddling number of people - fewer humans than would fill the gymnasium at a high school volleyball game. Not including the men and women who built it, no one has driven it. Even so, it is already saddled with two controversies: the way it looks and the way it shifts.
First to that shifting. Did we love the last Americanized Holden, the awesomely sportsome Pontiac G8 GXP, and its six-speed manual? Of course. Do we wish the SS came with a six-speed manual? Of course. But we'd like a toboggan to come with a manual transmission. We'd put a manual transmission on a weasel if we could because we're just wired that way; if it moves, it should come with a stick and a clutch. Or at least the option.
Let's climb down off the ledge, though. We haven't driven the SS and we have no idea how good (or not) the automatic is. And the Hobson's Choice in transmissions when it comes to sport sedans like the BMW M5, Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG and Jaguar XFR-S and, oh yeah, cars-that-really-should-have-manuals like the Audi R8 and Nissan GT-R and Porsche 918 and every single Lamborghini and Ferrari, for instance, hasn't stopped us from enjoying what is clearly the gruesome, dual-clutched demise of Western automotive civilization. Because in spite of our ululations at the dying of the six-speed light, we understand.
