2004 Chevrolet Tahoe Lt Sport Utility 4-door 5.3l 4x4 Loaded W/leather on 2040-cars

New Tires (Firestone Destination)
New belts/hoses/water-pump/fan-clutch/battery/oil pressure sending unit/head gasket Leather interior I purchased this vehicle used for my wife. I had it checked mechanically and made the above listed repairs and replacements. The biggest concern was the oil gauge not working and the fuel gauge stopped shortly after I purchased it. I took it to the dealer and they said the instrument cluster failure was common in the 03-04 models. Replacement was quoted at $500. We had the oil pressure checked and a new sending unit installed just to be safe. Pressure test returned normal. Mechanically, body-wise, and interior are in very good condition with the minor exceptions noted. My wife took a job out of town and we got her a 4-cyl Toyota for the commute, so this vehicle has not really been used by us (under 3000 miles). |

There once was a time when Daewoo was one of the biggest companies in South Korea. It was larger than both LG and Samsung, and second only to Hyundai. But these days the name is all but gone.
GM tinkering with Silverado, Sierra model mix amidst strong early sales
Mon, 04 Nov 2013Variety, as they say, is the spice of life. That's a lesson that is currently being taught to General Motors, because despite a strong showing from its 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra, the General's pickup sales still can't best those of cross-town rival Ford.
With 59,163 trucks moved, GM fell just over 1,000 units short of toppling Ford, and one of the main reasons for that, according to GM's chief sales analyst, was due to a lack of variety in the engines and body styles available on dealer lots. "We are still over-weighted toward crew-cab V8 trucks. Our light-duty mix will moderate over time as our launch progresses," said Kurt McNeil.
Loading dealers with the popular combination of the 5.3-liter V8 and the four-door, Crew Cab body style was intentional during the truck's launch, but as supplies of leftover 2013 models, which are being sold at heavy incentives, are beginning to wane, both budget-conscious and high-dollar buyers are looking elsewhere instead of at the volume model pickups.
Why the Corvette is Chevrolet's billion-dollar baby
Thu, 28 Feb 2013Edmunds has worked up a piece that tries to figure out just how much the global Chevrolet Corvette economy is worth, a spitballed guesstimate putting the number at more than $2.5 billion with the proviso that the number is probably low. It starts by taking Corvette's new car sales of 14,132 units last year, which would equate to $714,725,900 (including destination) assuming ever car sold was a base coupe with no options. In the final tally, a little extra padding gets that number up to $750,000,000.
But that's not all. Consider this: Many of the almost 1.4 million Corvettes produced over the model's history are still on the road. There are new parts being produced and aftermarket companies like Mid-America Motorworks deaing business, that single Illinois company doing more than $40 million a year in sales. There are the Corvette events large and small, restorers who do nothing but Corvettes, salvage yards that deal only in used Corvette parts and the Corvette magazines where owners find all this stuff.
And then there are the Corvette-themed tchotchkes, every single one of which provides a tiny contribution to the huge licensing royalties that General Motors collects every year. The article admits there's no way to come to an accurate number, but it just goes to show how valuable one specific model can be to a company.
