2003 Chevy Tahoe Z71 138880 (Will go up but not much, daily driver)

White Exterior has some blemishes from previous owner. The paint shines so you cant see them until your standing next to the truck. Just 2 scrapes on the plastic molding on passenger side and 2 scratches on driver side. Other various scratches and small dents and small rust spots on the front and rear bumper. The under carriage is spotless with 0 leaks. Still not in bad shape for a 10 year old vehicle.

Tan leather interior which has no tears in it like 80% of Chevy leather does. No broken trim pieces like other tahoes.

When I bought the vehicle about 5,000 miles ago I had a major tune up done. Spark plugs, spark plug wires, oil change (Synthetic), PCV Valve, All major fluids flushed including transmission, replaced water pump for peace of mind, shocks, i also replaced the intermediate steering shaft so this truck doesn't make all the clunks when you hit bumps like all other tahoes/yukons do from Chevys horrible steering shaft and rotors/brakes.

Has Kenwood/Garmin Navigation and it set up for MP3 Players. I also added a Viper 5901 Remote Start Alarm. When i bought the truck the Shift lever indicator was dim, typical of tahoes, so I sent it to US Speedometer and had the instrument panel rebuilt and fixed all the bulbs behind the dash with blue LED's. Truck also came with a magnaflow exhaust. Tires have plenty of tread left. A/C blows ice cold. Also comes with Rear seat DVD entertainment system. Heated front seats and lumbar support. Comes with tow package.

The only thing that does not work is the power adjustment for the pedals. It never bothered me when I bought the truck so that was the only thing I never got fixed. Other than that this truck has NOTHING wrong with it and needs NOTHING done to it. I have had a mechanic do all the maintenance on it so its set for another 50,000 miles besides normal oil changes. The only reason I have to part with this truck is because my wife does not like driving it and wants something smaller. This vehicle is a great dependable family vehicle that can easily go another 100,000 miles.

GM claims it's first to sell million 30+ mpg vehicles

As we continue to put together all the data for the year-end edition of By The Numbers, General Motors has announced that it sold more than a million vehicles in the US last year that achieved at least 30 miles per gallon on the highway. More impressively, GM managed this feat using multiple strategies including small vehicle size, turbocharged engines and hybrid or plug-in technologies across four brands (Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet and GMC) accounting for 13 separate models. This number will grow even more in 2013 thanks to cars like the all-electric Spark, the diesel Cruze, the range-extended Cadillac ELR and the Buick Encore compact CUV.
GM's small car sales were up 39 percent last year helping to attain this million-sales mark for 30-mpg models, and almost 40 percent of all GM sales consisted of cars with fuel-efficient I4 engines. In regards to more advanced means of improving fuel economy, GM says that it plans on having 500,000 vehicles with "some form of electrification" on the road by 2017.

Silverado HD, Touareg V10 TDI face off in diesel tug-of-war

A couple weeks ago, we watched a Chevrolet Silverado get dominated by a Dodge Ram Heavy Duty in a fullsize pickup tug-of-war, but in that truck's defense, Chevy's Vortec gas engine was no match for the torquey Cummins turbo diesel. For our next round of vehicular tug-of-war, a Duramax-powered Silverado HD takes on Volkswagen Touareg V10 TDI.
Now, on paper, putting the Duramax V8's 365 horsepower and 660 pound-feet of torque up against the V10's 310 hp and 553 lb-ft looks like an easy win for the Bowtie, but unfortunately, this battle has a similar result as the Dodge versus Chevy video, with the Silverado smoking its tires trying to move forward as it gets pulled backwards. Put another way: YouTube 2, Chevy Silverado 0.
It just goes to show, though, that big tires, bolt-on fender flares and goofy smoke stacks don't improve your towing abilities. Besides, what did the Silverado driver expect when the Touareg V10 TDI has towed a Boeing 747 in the past?
