This is a beautiful 1980 Chevy Suburban Scottsdale 20, 3/4 ton, trailing , 13,000 GCW , class 3 receiving hitch. All matching numbers, 454 engine, factory air, tilt wheel, AM & FM stereo. CB radio, Midland International 77-857. Rear window button on the dash button up or down works. 86,651 original miles. Running boards. This truck came from a 92 year old man in NH. The truck was kept in a hay barn that had 2 wooden floors to keep the hay dry which also kept the truck dry. He told me that the truck used to pull a 24 foot camper in the spring to a camp site and back home again in the fall. It was never used in the winter but he started the engine once a week. There is no rust through anywhere but a slight film of rust on the underside. You can tell this truck was always dry and the interior has no cracks in the seats or dash. I didn't take the front seat cover off. All the gauges work, the door keys work, AC works, power steering, power brakes all work. The doors open and close perfectly. The old man is the second owner and he bought it with 19,000 miles on it and owned it for 31 years. The only time it has seen winter weather was to take these pictures. Autoline Detroit recently played host to Bob Lutz, and, as is always the case, the former General Motors vice chairman dished out some great commentary. Lutz was promoting his new book Car Guys vs. Bean Counters: The Battle for the Soul of American Business, and talk quickly turned to his role as it related to product development and high-level decision making at GM. While on the topic of brand management, Lutz revealed a few rather interesting tidbits about his former employer:

GM recalling over 40,000 Chevy, Pontiac and Saturn models over fuel pump woes
Mon, 01 Oct 2012The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a recall for a number of General Motors cars and crossovers bought or currently registered in the hot-climate states of Arkansas, Arizona, California, Nevada, Oklahoma and Texas. As many as 40,859 units consisting of the 2007 Chevrolet Equinox, Pontiac Torrent and Saturn Ion and the 2007-2009 Chevrolet Cobalt (shown) and its Pontiac G5 twin are being recalled for potential fuel leaks.
This recall is being issued due to potentially faulty fuel pump components that can crack and cause gasoline to leak from the return or supply ports and possibly cause a fire. NHTSA has not indicated how many fuel leaks or vehicle fires have been reported. As a fix, GM will replace the fuel pump modules on all affected vehicles free of charge. Since Pontiac and Saturn have been shuttered, owners will be able to go to another GM-brand dealership to have their vehicles repaired.

Amelia Island 2013: Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray from concepts to split windows
Wed, 13 Mar 2013While this year marks 60 years of the Chevrolet Corvette, the 2013 Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance focused on one of the coupe's most sought after models, the 1963 Sting Ray. General Motors design boss Ed Welburn was on hand to show off the all-new C7 Corvette, but even the hard-edged styling of the 2014 Stingray couldn't take away from the beautiful 1963 models sitting out on the field.
In addition to the original Sting Ray and the 1959 Sting Ray Concept, some of the other classic 'Vettes included "Big Tank" racecars, an interesting cutaway coupe, a right-hand-drive Z06 and the attention-grabbing 1963 Corvette Rondine by Pininfarina. Another impressive Corvette was the 1964 Corvette XP-819 rear-engine prototype. Owner Mike Yager had the car finished as a driving chassis for this year's show, but promises the car will be back to its original glory in time for next year's event.
