I am selling my 2004.5 LLY Duramax silverado LT 3500 4x4. I am asking $20,500 as it sets. It has 118,200 miles. Has had the oil changed every 5000 miles since new. Was previously owned by a diesel mechanic and is in pristine condition. It has zero leaks, no wobbles or dents / scratches and no rust. The tires are at about 85%.It was all stock until I purchased it with 113,000 miles. It has tan heated leather seats with the driver seat having a 3 inch tear, with Bose stereo and 6 disk cd changer.

It has a weather guard toolbox and train horns with an on board compressor and will sell them separately. It has a 2" leveling kit, window tint and a front brow. Bed liner and tow package with no 5th wheel or gooseneck hitch.

I had the EGR deleted, the LBZ Turbo mouthpiece put on to allow for cooler exhaust temps, added a 4" MBRP straight pipe from the turbo back, to end it with a 6" x 18" black MBRP tip. Also put the EFi live on with 5 stages. Did all of this at 113,000, and don't drive it much since I travel for work all the time now. I have the receipt for when this was put on, all done by Smokin diesel in greenwood Missouri.

I have the original muffler and cat converter if someone were to want to make it stock.

I thought I would use the truck but plans changed and I don't need a 1 ton dually.

I have the truck for sale locally as well, so I reserve the right to end the aution at any time.

Please feel free to call or text 816-739-4995. My name is Jake

Indian tuner turns Chevy Optra into Mustang 'Eleanor' replica

Fri, 03 Aug 2012

If you are a big fan of automotive oddities, this may come as a little treat. If you are a Shelby or Mustang diehard, prepare to have your sensibilities violated.
The master fabricators at BigDaddyCustoms are the minds behind what you see above. At first, it appears to be a slightly misshapen custom Mustang, modeled after "Eleanor" from Gone In 60 Seconds, but upon further examination, something appears to be amiss. In fact, the custom shop, based in India, has created an Eleanor replica grafted upon a lowly Chevrolet Optra. While it may take a second for the Optra to ring a bell, you should recognize its badge-engineered sibling, the Daewoo Lacetti, used on Top Gear.
We don't know what star would opt for the Reasonably Priced Car in Shelby's clothing, but it's clearly someone more concerned with the aesthetic than the performance credentials of this automotive mash-up.

GM sweetens military discount for Buick, Chevy and GMC

Sun, 06 Oct 2013

American servicemen and women interested in a new vehicle from Chevrolet, Buick or GMC now have a bit more incentive to head down to their local dealer, as General Motors has announced plans to improve its military discount program.
The new GM Military Discount Program offers eligible consumers a new Chevy, Buick or GMC at invoice pricing, which in some cases can take very large chunks out of a car's retail price. When factored in with other incentives, most of which are available with the Military Discount, the bargains are thick on the ground for members of the US armed forces.
GM's Retail Sales and Marketing Support general manager, Chuck Thomson, said, "GM has long supported the military and military families, and we hope this simplified and enhanced discount will show our appreciation for their service and help make it easier for them to own one of our great new vehicles." The program is open to all active duty and reserve members in the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, National Guard and Coast Guard, as well as veterans that have been out of the service for less than a year. Military retirees and their spouses are also eligible for the discount.

Silverado HD, Touareg V10 TDI face off in diesel tug-of-war

Sun, 30 Dec 2012

A couple weeks ago, we watched a Chevrolet Silverado get dominated by a Dodge Ram Heavy Duty in a fullsize pickup tug-of-war, but in that truck's defense, Chevy's Vortec gas engine was no match for the torquey Cummins turbo diesel. For our next round of vehicular tug-of-war, a Duramax-powered Silverado HD takes on Volkswagen Touareg V10 TDI.
Now, on paper, putting the Duramax V8's 365 horsepower and 660 pound-feet of torque up against the V10's 310 hp and 553 lb-ft looks like an easy win for the Bowtie, but unfortunately, this battle has a similar result as the Dodge versus Chevy video, with the Silverado smoking its tires trying to move forward as it gets pulled backwards. Put another way: YouTube 2, Chevy Silverado 0.
It just goes to show, though, that big tires, bolt-on fender flares and goofy smoke stacks don't improve your towing abilities. Besides, what did the Silverado driver expect when the Touareg V10 TDI has towed a Boeing 747 in the past?
