Selling a 1999 2 wheel drive crew cab long bed Chevy 3500. The truck is in really good condition, low 132,000 miles, the truck comes with a Hypertech Power Programmer, Flowmaster muffler, tow hitch, leather interior, all power options, bed liner, window tint, great tires and wheels with close to new tread.

I am the second owner of the truck and have all of the receipts from the original owner, there is normal wear on the exterior such as a few minor dings and scratches, the hood and passenger fender were replaced with matching used parts and the clear coat on the hood is peeling/flaking. All the paint is original,  as for the interior no visible rips or tears, carpet is clean and nothing is visibly damaged.

The reason for the salvage title: From the original owner, he got in a front end collision then bought it back from the insurance company. He replaced the grill, passenger fender, hood, radiator, AC condenser and some small misc. parts.

The truck is missing the windshield washer tank, the front bumper does not line up straight and the small filler panel between the grill and bumper is missing. When I got the truck it had a pre-runner off road race type bumper on it which is included. The truck goes down the road very straight and very comfortable.

I bought this truck because I was traveling for work, I was driving 500 miles per weekend from California to Vegas, sometimes towing an 8500 pound travel trailer. On the day my granddaughter was born, I spent 13 hours on the road with no problems. Just installed a new fuel pump last week.

Trying to be as honest as possible, I just don't need the big truck, not traveling anymore. The truck also has a diamond plate tool box and bed rail caps/tailgate protector.

Feel free to ask questions via email or call 702-423-3082 if there is anything I can answer for you or if you want a specific picture of something. I can deliver within 500 miles of Las Vegas for a fee.

Thanks for looking.

GM recalling 118K Colorado, Canyon pickups over missing hood latches

Thu, 20 Dec 2012

General Motors has announced a recall of 118,800 Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon pickup trucks due to the possibility of secondary hood latches not being installed at the time of manufacture. The affected vehicles are from the 2010, 2011 and 2012 model years, all of which were built between November 9, 2009 and August 28, 2012.
According to the official National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report, these trucks fail to "comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 113, 'Hood Latch System.' The hood may be missing the secondary hood latch." In other words, owners of these trucks could find their vehicles' hoods opening unexpectedly while driving.
The official recall campaign is expected to begin on January 17, 2013. Dealers will inspect the affected pickups and if a secondary hood latch is not present, one will be installed free of charge. Scroll down to read the official NHTSA report.

Check out the official 2013 Trans Am Hurst Edition commercial

Sat, 16 Mar 2013

The Poncho is dead. Long live the Poncho. Like certain other reoccurring personal maladies, the aftermarket community simply can't let the Trans Am go without another flare up. The guys at Trans Am Depot have worked up a quick commercial for their newest creation: The 2013 Trans Am Hurst Edition, and it watches pretty much like you'd expect it to. The footage is comprised of just about every TA male fantasy you can conceive of, from Daisy Dukes and white tank tops to tramp stamps, bikinis and ice cream cones. There simply aren't words for what you'll see below.
Of course, we like our T-Tops as much as the next guy. If you like what you see in the videos, you can pick up your very own TA by heading over to the Trans Am Depot site. The guys even have Chevrolet Camaro-based versions of the Pontiac GTO if the '77 TA treatment is too much for your tastes. Enjoy, but don't say we didn't warn you.

GM takes heat for aborted Silverado riff on 'Boston Strong' at World Series

Thu, 31 Oct 2013

During game five of the World Series, Chevrolet was set to do a spot of marketing for the 2014 Silverado - fans at Busch Stadium in St. Louis would hold up placards that spelled out the words "Silverado Strong," a theme that Chevy has been promoting since the Silverado's launch with the song "Strong," by Will Hoge. The St. Louis promo was ultimately called off, though, over concerns that it'd be insensitive to the visiting Boston Red Sox. (You can see the image of what the stunt would have looked like above, courtesy of one timely Reddit user.)
Now, the Busch Stadium stunt might not have been a big deal, had the St. Louis Cardinals not been playing the Boston Red Sox. Following the tragic events in Boston during the marathon back in April, the phrase "Boston Strong" gained traction among the city's citizens, especially at sporting events. So, you can imagine that Chevy's appropriation of the phrase might not sit well with some fans.
The stunt was ultimately shelved after images of the signs went viral before the game, leading to a bit of a public backlash. Chevy spokesperson Michael Albano said of the promo that it was meant to show the brand's "commitment to baseball and its fans." But after the images went viral, the company "realized there was the possibility that we may offend some of the very fans we were trying to honor," Albano told Automotive News via email.
