This truck is in great condition and needs nothing! The truck passes smog with ease, the check engine light has never been on, and there are no mechanical issues. I am an ASE Certified Master Technician and have always done all my own work on the truck. I intended to keep this vehicle forever but with my second child on the way my wife demands a vehicle that is easier to get two kids in and out of. I have always used Mobil 1 synthetic oil and have always done oil changes before recommended time/mileage intervals. I have always changed the oil between 3000 to 5000 miles. The spark plugs were replaced at 50,000miles with ACDelco. The transmission fluid and filter was done at 40,000miles and I added extra magnets, used full synthetic fluid. Differential fluid was replaced at 40,000miles and I used full synthetic fluid. The alternator was recently replaced. I am a non-smoker, truck has rarely seen the dirt, and has only pulled a trailer a couple times. The tires are in great shape and have plenty of miles left in them. The spare tire is a 35" as well as the rest...this means you have a full size spare which usually isn't the case with lifted trucks. The truck is able to have a spare in the original spare tire spot due to the addition of a flowmaster muffler with exit under truck "see picture". The exhaust sounds good, it is not loud or obnoxious! The truck has been in one minor wreck. We were bumped on the left rear which was repaired through a body shop in California through my insurance. I have receipts for all repairs which were minor. I am willing to send pictures of the receipts if needed to verify the damage was minor and cosmetic only. The bumper was replaced due to a scratch/bend and the fender was partially repainted after it was straightened where the bumper touched it. No panels were replaced, the only damage was cosmetic, no wiring was damaged, no air bags deployed "not even in the car that hit us". I have tried to be as up front and thorough as possible, please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you for looking! Happy Bidding!

Helicopter crashes on Top Gear Korea set while chasing Corvette ZR1
Mon, 11 Feb 2013The formula of Top Gear Korea is seemingly about the same as it is everywhere else in the world, including the flagship British original: involve interesting cars in fantastical situations with charismatic hosts. That prescription has proved to be pretty reliable over the years, and has lead to some truly memorable and exciting pieces of television.
Something like that was undoubtedly what the Korean producers were after when they lined up this segment - a drag race between a Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 and an AH1 Cobra military helicopter. The planners almost certainly did not expect the filming of the segment to go quite as wrong as it actually did, with the helicopter actually crashing into the dirt after the "drag race" had been completed. Thankfully, we're told that no one was seriously injured in the crash, but the footage, in the video below, is pretty damn chilling to watch, nevertheless.

Watch this creative way to pull a truck's engine
Fri, 08 Mar 2013Living in an apartment complex has its benefits, but for shade-tree mechanics who like/need to work on their own cars, it definitely has a number of disadvantages. Relatively simple tasks such as brake jobs and oil changes are difficult when you don't have dedicated driveway space, to say nothing of more in-depth repairs... like pulling an engine, for example.
For these types of challenges, a little ingenuity and plenty of muscle are needed to get the job done. Scroll down to watch these four men snatch the V8 out of a Chevrolet K1500 using nothing but a chain, landscape timber and good ol' fashioned brute strength. Good work, gentlemen.
