Awesome super clean 1999 Silverado LS package 4X4 three door extended cab. Fully loaded with all power options and leather interior. 5.3 V8, automatic transmission with overdrive and tow package. This truck has been up to this year garage kept and babied for all of its 14 years. Oil changed every three thousand miles, trans flushed I believe two times and coolant flushed every other year. Tires have approx. 15000 miles on them, rear brakes are new as well as rotors, front brakes are good. With the exception of a small utility trailer this truck has never towed anything. Seats are very nice. Bed interior does have some light scratches but no dents. Paint as you can see does shine nice. But it does have a few rock chips, remember its not a new truck. Carfax does show that it has had a front bumper put on it due to a neighbor backing into it and the passenger side was repainted due to a low speed scrape down the side. No parts needed to be replaced just some paint work. This was all verified by the original owner. Everything works on the truck as it should. There is a quarter size dent on the roof and at one time there were full length running boards on it so there are a few holes low on the under body that was repaired. There is no rust that I see anywhere other than maybe a spot of surface rust on a door interior. No disappointments here. Truck also is for sale locally. Feds open investigation into Chevy Express, Ford Freestar rust issues

Well, for Ford and General Motors, a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation. According to The Detroit News, NHTSA is looking into potential recalls issues with Chevrolet Express vans and Ford Freestar minivans.
The feds have received five complaints that rust has caused leaking fuel filler pipes on 2003 Express vans. Separately, seven complaints have been filed over excessive rust in the rear wheel wells of 2004 Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey minivans. The Freestar and Monterey went out of production in 2007. Neither issue has resulted in any crashes or injuries, according to the report.
Final C6 Corvette built in Bowling Green
Fri, 01 Mar 2013With all of the attention given to the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray lately, you could be forgiven for thinking that it's already well along in production, yet tooling up for the new C7 has only just begun. In fact, production of the outgoing C6 generation in Bowling Green, Kentucky just halted on Thursday.
As the C6 has aged, production numbers have predictably ebbed along with demand, but this year, the addition of the 427 and 60th anniversary models resulted in an uptick in vehicles built - this, despite a model year shortened by around 25 percent to accomodate the new model changeover. The final C6 Corvette ever, No. 13,466 built this year, was a white 427 Convertible destined for the General Motors Heritage Center museum. The car's 7.0-liter V8 heart was assembled by Corvette chief engineer Tadge Juechter himself.
In total, Bowling Green pushed out 215,100 C6 Corvettes over nine years. If you're still a C6 fan at heart and are hoping to get a good deal on a phase-out model, step lively - Chevrolet reportedly had about 6,100 unsold units, which Autoweek suggests is good for around five and a half months of supply at the model's current sales rates. Given that demand will likely slacken even further as the C7 draws closer, that should be a big enough stockpile to keep dealers satisfied until 2014 Stingrays begin showing up on their forecourts in December.

What did you expect when Chevrolet said it was bringing a new Corvette variant to the 2014 New York Auto Show? Maybe a sticker and trim package, like the C6 Corvette Grand Sport or a tie-in deal like the Black Widow car from Chicago? On the opposite end, maybe there was an even more hardcore Z06 waiting in the wings. Who knew?
