This is a very nice, clean, little step side Chevy that is in excellent mechanical condition and runs very good and strong.  The previous owner replaced the engine with a new crate engine about 30K miles ago.  I just replaced the 700R4 transmission less than 500 miles ago.  I have also just replaced the fuel pump, the fuel pump relay, and the oil sending unit.  The paint does have some of the clear coat peeling on the top and the top of the drivers door.  The bed has a Line X liner,  older, but still in good condition.  The tires are Toyo Proxes,  295/45 on back, 255/45 on front, mounted on 18"X 8.5" Milarri rims.  The tires and rims have very low miles on them.  The truck has been professionally lower and handles very good.  The exhaust is a single into a Magnaflow muffler with dual exits and tailpipes that exit under the back bumper.  The interior is in good condition, not perfect, but good.  The only issues that I am aware of are with the a/c and the door locks.  The a/c is complete and operable, but does not blow cold air.  The door key will not unlock the doors.  It is the correct key, but just won't lock or unlock the doors.  Please ask questions prior to bidding,  feel free to call if you need additional pictures of information.  541-260-0799,  9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Pacific time.

Watch this time-lapse build of the Chevy SS for NASCAR

Fri, 08 Feb 2013

There's only about a week left until we get our first look at the production version of the 2014 Chevrolet SS sedan, but Chevrolet NASCAR teams have been looking at the race version of the car all winter. Autoweek has posted a really neat time-lapse video showing just a portion of what it takes to build one of NASCAR's new Gen6 stock cars.
Though the video is quite brief, it does show almost the entire build process starting with just the car's nose, and it gives us a good look at how integral the template is to the final product. As a bonus, Hendrick Motorsports also provided some videos showing two of its teams performing pit stop tests over the winter. The second video shows some of the more detailed aspects of the racecar's rear end, including the stock-looking trunk cutout and a newly mandated rear bumper extension that will be used on super speedways like Daytona and Talladega.
To see what Team Chevy has been up to all off-season, check out all three videos posted after the jump.

2014 Chevrolet Malibu gets more torque, more room and inspiration from the Impala

Fri, 31 May 2013

The 2014 Chevrolet Malibu, having stared at the Impala across the showroom floor for a year, gets nips and tucks all over inspired by its larger brother. The 2.5-liter four-cylinder in the base car will get a stop-start system and 23 city miles per gallon, 35 highway, each number representing a one-mpg improvement over the 2013 car. Output is 196 horsepower and 186 pound-feet of torque.
Opt for the 2.0-liter turbo and, while power holds steady at 259 hp, torque goes up by 14 percent to a striking 295 lb-ft (a figure Chevy calls best in the class). The final details include newly programmed transmission shift points and faster shifts, for better engaging and enjoying the added power.
Looks-wise, the grille's been reshaped to be more in line with the new Chevrolet look, a narrower upper grille hovering over a larger lower grille.

PickupTrucks.com's latest test results in a familiar winner [w/video]

Wed, 19 Jun 2013

PickupTrucks.com has gone and thrown the latest batch of half-ton pickups into a cage match to see who would come out on top. The site put the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, GMC Sierra 1500, 2013 Ford F-150, Ram 1500, Toyota Tundra and Nissan Titan through a battery of tests. Those included 0-60 miles per hour acceleration, 60-0 mph deceleration, fuel economy, a hill climb, and payload and towing. They even threw the rigs on an autocross course to evaluate overall handling. Each truck was given points based on how it scored in each evaluation.
Who came out on top? Somewhat surprisingly, the 2013 Ford F-150 walked away with the gold, though fewer than 50 points separated first and fourth place. Head over to PickupTrucks.com to read the full evaluation and the final results. You may be shocked to see exactly where some of the segment's newest additions placed. You can also watch a video on the test below.
