Where do I start, This truck has been meticulously cared for its entire life, it is absolutely a great blast from the past,  a two owner truck, title free and clear, this is a Silverado optioned truck,,,,,,, here is a list of goodies it has, original 454 engine with 107000 miles, runs like a dream, with lots of power, fancy original interior includes, nice dash, no cracks, in dash tach, air conditioning, it works, carpets original, seats original, has added sunroof, and stereo, automatic transmission, fancy rims, great tires, dual exhaust, the underside is very clean, paint is original ( a couple of touchups here and there,) otherwise all original, added lettering (obviously) this truck has never been in an accident or even out in the wintertime, you can tell that, the body is nice, nice nice, never been fixed on, no bondo , no new metal, nothing, it has a couple bubbles, couple small holes,  couple scratches, couple dings, not perfect, but holy shit is it nice for its age, I have had many many people look this truck over and just say ........wow. that's a nice old truck.........and it is, has never been restored , it has lots of original stickers inside the engine compartment, This is a numbers matching original condition, great running  chevy short box, 2 wheel drive, I would drive it anywhere if  you can afford the fuel,,,, not really to bad if you don't step on it,  I would really like to show it to you but will give a guarantee that if you don't like it , you don't have to buy it...... you will loose your 500 deposit.........       mn collector plates  please ask questions, I am sure I forgot some stuff, original chrome, has trailer hookup, Oh it has an old fashioned car hauler type attatchment that goes on the back, that's is for sale also if you buy the truck. spare tire,   all equipment, lights, air, so forth work properly, the only issues I can possibly think of, is it could use new rear shocks soon, not necessary yet, one exhaust pipe has a small hole, and it needs new wiper blades.............. drive it home............ THIS IS A SWEET SWEET RIDE AND TRUCK FROM YESTERYEAR, 500 DOLLAR DEPOSIT WITHIN 24 HOURS, THE REST IN GREEN CASH WHEN YOU GET HERE, NO GREEN  NO TRUCK, ITS SIMPLE, IF YOU DECIDE YOU DONT LIKE IT OR I DIDNT DESCRIBE CORRECT YOU DONT HAVE TO BUY,  but you will loose your deposit of 500............. be sure to ask questions, they are worth 500 bucks. thanks for looking............... I am pretty sure it will sell, I cant imagine your could find a better original correct 454  shortbox in this style anywhere for the price forgot to mention the visor and rear bed rails, I am sure the bed rails are also vintage factory add ons........... the dual exhaust  has glass packs or thrush, something with a little noise to it........sounds mean............inside box is nice, has holes in fender wells where there was a roll bar at one time, has extra lights in the grill and under the truck for extra lighting, ground effects, they are add ons and do not disturb the originality but are kinda neat.......  newer battery,  tires are real good,  dual gas tanks from factory.,  tag in the door says 11/75  so I guess you could call it a 1975 or 1976 not sure.............. has sticker in glove box, stating the  credentials wich all match, including the sliding rear window,,,,,,,,,  remember  to ask if your not sure............send me an email and I will give you my phone number if desired.............. have fun bidding and please be serious,,,,,,,,,, I don't want to have to do this more than once or I just might keep it....... you know how that goes............ once you get the money ,,,, soon its gone and so is the truck and you ask yourself why did you do that, I think this truck could complete in an originality class at any car show and do just fine.. maybe clean it up a bit more that's it?   my thoughts only.................

Who sold the most heavy-duty pickups in 2012? PickupTrucks.com investigates

Tue, 26 Feb 2013

Domestic manufacturers enjoyed a good year for heavy-duty pickup sales in 2012. PickupTrucks.com has taken a close look at exactly how those sales broke down between each manufacturer and between three-quarter and one-ton pickups. Ford sold some 67,786 F-250 Super Duty models last year with the Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD falling just behind at 56,359 units. The Ram 2500 HD came in third at 41,918, while the GMC Sierra 2500 HD earned itself fourth place with 27,616 deliveries. While Ford held onto the top spot in the one-ton market, Ram easily nailed down second place by selling more 3500 HD models last year than General Motors sold Silverado 3500 HD and Sierra 3500 HD trucks combined.
So, did GM manage to sell more trucks than Ford with its two brands? Very nearly. Ford sold a total of 119,338 heavy-duty pickups to GM's 111,555. Ram, meanwhile, moved a distant 77,583. But perhaps more interesting is the diesel take rate in this segment. PickupTrucks.com says 80 percent of all domestic one-ton trucks roll from the dealer lot with a turbo-diesel under the hood. Head over to the site for a closer look at the breakdown.

PickupTrucks.com's latest test results in a familiar winner [w/video]

Wed, 19 Jun 2013

PickupTrucks.com has gone and thrown the latest batch of half-ton pickups into a cage match to see who would come out on top. The site put the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, GMC Sierra 1500, 2013 Ford F-150, Ram 1500, Toyota Tundra and Nissan Titan through a battery of tests. Those included 0-60 miles per hour acceleration, 60-0 mph deceleration, fuel economy, a hill climb, and payload and towing. They even threw the rigs on an autocross course to evaluate overall handling. Each truck was given points based on how it scored in each evaluation.
Who came out on top? Somewhat surprisingly, the 2013 Ford F-150 walked away with the gold, though fewer than 50 points separated first and fourth place. Head over to PickupTrucks.com to read the full evaluation and the final results. You may be shocked to see exactly where some of the segment's newest additions placed. You can also watch a video on the test below.

Dodge vs. Chevy tug-of-war taken to the extreme

Mon, 17 Dec 2012

They say "idle hands are the devil's playground," but said playgrounds grow to Disney-sized proportions when a pair of jacked-up trucks, two egos, a chain and an empty mall parking lot are involved. Proof of this is the video below, which shows a Cummins-powered Dodge Ram circa 2006 to 2008 chained tail-to-tail with what looks to be a gasoline-powered Chevrolet Silverado from the late 1990s or early 2000s.
We don't necessarily have to tell you who wins this battle, but we'll let you see for yourself the lengths the "winning" driver goes to prove his point. There's plenty of foul language in the video below, so beware that this might be Not Safe For Work, and not that we should have to tell you, but please, do not try this at home.
