Here ya go guys, I'm listing this one for a relative of mine.

This is a beautiful 2004 Chevrolet SSR pickup. This truck comes with a fully-retracting steel hardtop. SSR means ``Super Sport Roadster,'' and it goes from hardtop to roadster at the touch of a button. Under it's unique steel skin is a frame based on that of Chevy's mid-sized TrailBlazer SUV, with an aluminum-block 5.3-liter version of the small block V8 that provides appropriate power and rumble. With 300 horses and 310 lb-ft of torque, it has plenty of go. It doesn't matter whether the top is up or down, the SSR's proportions are right. It's strictly a two-seater, and space to the sides is tight. The upholstery is leather, as is the rim of the tilt-adjustable steering wheel, and the seats are power-adjustable except for manual seatback rake, but adjust everything before closing the doors. Body-color paint on the console and aluminum trim around the meaty metal shifter are nice touches. To convert from hardtop to roadster or back, merely stop, put it in park, put your foot on the brake, and hold a button down for about 30 seconds. The top folds neatly into the space between the cab and the cargo area. Unlike some similar vehicles, you won't need a trailer to carry things when traveling in an SSR. Under the tonneau is 23.7 cubic feet of space, aided by a standard liner and built-in cargo tracks for tie-down. The tonneau is removable if necessary. Now’s the time to enjoy the sun in this fabulous factory built custom truck with only 18775k miles. There were a couple of nice extra touches. The previous owner had a nice set of matching hood scoops along with a beautiful rear wing spoiler installed which sets it apart from all the others. This baby needs nothing but a driver that's ready to cruise and get lots of attention.

Chevy Camaro is a good sport, wishes Ford Mustang Happy 50th

Tue, 15 Apr 2014

It was 1966 when Chevrolet launched its challenger to the wildly successful Ford Mustang, the Camaro. While the competition between the two brands was already healthy, the arrival of the Camaro set off one of the most intense, model-to-model rivalries in the industry.
That competitive spirit hasn't stopped Chevy and the Camaro from wishing Ford's iconic muscle car a Happy 50th Birthday as the Ford's April 17 anniversary rolls around. These two cars have been linked over the years, and while the rivalry took a break for a few years in the 2000s, today's competition between the Camaro and Mustang is as fierce as it's ever been.
You might recall that this friendliness when it comes to major milestones isn't too rare. Ford put on quite a display for General Motors' hundredth anniversary back in 2008. As the Camaro's fiftieth birthday approaches in 2016, we wouldn't be surprised to see the Mustang sending its best wishes to its Bowtie rival.

Chevy exec confirms SS production model reveal at Daytona on Feb 16

Wed, 06 Feb 2013

The 2014 Chevrolet SS will make its racing debut for the 2013 Daytona 500, but the production version of the car will get its official unveiling on February 16 in Daytona, a week before The Great American Race. According to a report by Automotive News, the reveal has been confirmed by Jim Campbell, Chevy's US vice president of performance and motorsports. With the departure of the Dodge Charger, the new Chevrolet racecar will be the only competitor to feature a V8, rear-wheel-drive layout in both street and NASCAR form.
NASCAR fans will be able to see the new fullsize performance-oriented sedan on display in the festivities leading up to the Daytona 500, but the car won't go on sale until later in the year. The Australian-built Chevy SS will be a low-volume performance model, and it will be priced above the 2014 Impala, which starts at $27,535.

Watch this creative way to pull a truck's engine

Fri, 08 Mar 2013

Living in an apartment complex has its benefits, but for shade-tree mechanics who like/need to work on their own cars, it definitely has a number of disadvantages. Relatively simple tasks such as brake jobs and oil changes are difficult when you don't have dedicated driveway space, to say nothing of more in-depth repairs... like pulling an engine, for example.
For these types of challenges, a little ingenuity and plenty of muscle are needed to get the job done. Scroll down to watch these four men snatch the V8 out of a Chevrolet K1500 using nothing but a chain, landscape timber and good ol' fashioned brute strength. Good work, gentlemen.
