up for sale is a 2004 chevy ssr convertible truck has only 75k miles .This is a super nice truck!!!!!!! runs and drives great very addicting to drive almost like you dont want to get out of it it drives so good. Truck is super clean in every way the only couple small flaws in the whole truck. an older gentleman had the truck and obviously ever curb he came into contact with he rode the wheel up on and curbed the wheels. which in my opinion wouldn't hurt to have the chrome ones on it.  also there is a couple bad places were the paint is oxidized on the running board on the drivers side. as well as the rear goodyear tires on the truck are getting weak still passes inspection but eventually will need replaced as the front tires are still good, and have a lot of tread left on them. This truck has also got the carpeted bed and bedcover on the inside and has a storage locker as well as the imitation wooden slats. this is a very sharp truck and in my opinion a far better one that you could by than a 2005 or 2006 as they have heating problems with the fans and the 6.0 liter engine trucks and these 5.3L run out just as good in the long run and still have awesome power.it is very slick all the way around and only a few flaws but still has the great 75k miles and looks like 7500 miles don't miss this truck.also forgot to mention has a very clean and detailed undercarriage as well being a Winston salem nc truck since new the truck has no rust as some would from other states this one is still brand new underneath. this is a great buy very well under retail nada book which the truck should be 22500 call chris with questions or to buy it now 336-416-5631 thanks also forgot to mention the fan blower motor for the ac is a little noisy on high and it does have a aftermarket cd player thanks

2015 Chevy Tahoe gets Police Patrol Vehicle treatment

Thu, 07 Nov 2013

That was fast. Mere days after showing a Police Concept based on the 2015 Tahoe at the SEMA Show, Chevrolet has announced that it will build a PPV model based on the SUV to do battle with the Ford Police Interceptor Utility (Explorer) and Dodge Durango Special Service.
You'll recall that the Tahoe has been police staple for several years, predating both the Explorer and Durango police variants, so the fact that the new model would spawn a police variant is hardly surprising. Like the civilian model, the 2015 PPV benefits from a more efficient 5.3-liter, direct-injection V8 that pumps out 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. It also features more high-strength steel, offering better crash protection, on top of optional safety items like lane departure warning, forward collision alert and a Safety Alert Seat.
The press release is rather light on police-specific items, aside from the auxiliary battery, which keeps the myriad of electronics in a modern police car running even when the engine isn't. Lightbars, 17-inch steel wheels on Goodyear Eagle RS-A tires and a push bar round out the mods for the Tahoe PPV. The cabin features a revised center console and room for laptop and other equipment mounts.

GM investing $167m in Spring Hill for new midsize vehicles

Tue, 06 Aug 2013

General Motors has announced a large investment in its Spring Hill, Tennessee facility. The former home of Saturn production will be getting a $167 million addition to a previously announced $183 million, to cover a pair of new midsize vehicles. The investment is expected to create 1,800 jobs at the factory.
That $350 million is being divvied up for a pair of programs at Spring Hill. The first will take the bulk of the money ($223 million) and create 1,000 of the 1,800 jobs, while the other will take the remaining $127 million and generate the leftover 800 positions. But GM says the investment will cover "midsize vehicle programs." So what could they be?
The leading candidate in our minds is a new crossover for Buick, called the Anthem, that will slot between the Encore and Enclave, but will be slightly smaller than the Equinox and Terrain. As we've explained, the new model will likely be the first product to sport GM's new D2UX platform, which will eventually replace both the Delta and Theta platforms. Spring Hill is already building the Equinox, so there could be some credence to this theory.
