Purchased vehicle non-running several years ago. Finally got it running Dec 2012, Drove it until June 19, 2013 putting approximately 3500 miles on it. Coming home, hit a bump and registered a ground fault and the truck stopped running. I have been searching for the ground fault since then and knowing nothing about electricity cannot find it. Truck is powered by 52 lead acid batteries through a Hughes Dolphin controller driving a 50KW AC motor. Top speed is governed by computer at 80 mph. Sale also includes laptop with serial port/cable and software for diagnostics and setting parameters for system. The batteries are 52 lead acid GEL sealed batteries 26 installed in Dec 2012 and 26 more added 2/1/13. Range before the ground fault was approximately 60 miles, however the most I ever drove it on one charge was 72 miles and it was starting to slow down as I pulled onto my home street. After getting the truck running, I had the body redone and repainted so there are no scratches, chips, dents or dings and as an after thought two yellow and blue stripes were added. (http://uselectricar.com/Truck.html) The truck is available with all the parts I have accumulated, manuals and a tilt kit that I never had time to install that would allow the truck bed to tilt up for easy access to the battery box. I also am including two wall mounted Magnechargers for 220 volt charging. Before the ground fault both Magnechargers worked and also there is a 110 port that works. The ground fault is the key. NHTSA could add 1M cars to GM recall

The Detroit Free Press is reporting that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration may expand a recall campaign for faulty brake lamps. The agency is currently looking into complaints that certain 2004-2011 Chevrolet Malibu models as well as some 2007-2009 Saturn Aura sedans may have brake lights that do not illuminate when the driver presses the pedal. Alternatively, the lamps may also illuminate without input from the driver. General Motors recalled 8,000 Pontiac G6 models from the 2005 model year for the same problem, and NHTSA is currently investigating whether to add 550,000 more G6 models built between 2005 and 2009 to the list for the same issue.
In addition, investigators are currently examining 97 complaints from Malibu and Aura owners with the same trouble. If NHTSA adds those models to the recall campaign, more than one million units could be covered. GM, meanwhile, says there have been no accidents or injuries as a result of the problem.
GM recalls full-size truck, SUVs and vans over faulty shifter mechanism
Mon, 07 Jan 2013Twelve different General Motors vehicles from the 2013 model year, up to 54,686 units in total, are being recalled over two potential issues with their steering columns. The models in question, all full-size trucks, SUVs or vans, are the: Cadillac Escalade, Escalade ESV, Escalade EXT, Chevrolet Avalanche, Express, Silverado, Suburban, Tahoe, and GMC Savana, Sierra, Yukon and Yukon XL.
The affected vehicles were built with a fractured parking lock cable or "a malformed steering column lock actuator gear in the lock module assembly." As a consequence, they could shift out of park without the brake pedal being applied or with the key removed or in the off position.
A bulletin from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration indicates that the recall should begin on January 17. GM will notify owners, at which time they can take their vehicles to their dealers for repair free of charge. Have a look at the bulletin below for more information.
2014 Chevy Silverado, GMC Sierra full configurators truck in

A microsite for the full-size pickup truck twins has been up since January, and now the full-blown configurator is live and ready to take your virtual orders. The only two chassis configurations available at the moment are the Crew Cab with either a short or standard bed - Regular and Double Cab versions will come later. In Silverado flavors that will run you $32,710 for the short box, $33,010 for the standard box, while the Sierra adds a $1,500 premium to both of those prices, and destination and handling for both models adds another $995.
Since these are American pickups the list of modifications is lengthy, but we added $11,450 in just two steps by starting with the Silverado Crew Cab and standard bed, then checking four-wheel drive and the LTZ Z71 package. Our final truck, resplendent in Brownstone Metallic paint, heated and cooled Cocoa/Dune perforated leather seating and tasty details like chrome recovery hooks, and engine block heater and LED cargo box lighting, rang up $57,285 at the candy store.
They'll be on dealer lots sometime this summer, so now's a good time to start practicing your box-checking.
