1984 Chevrolet S10 Blazer Pro-street Stroker 383 Project on 2040-cars

This Blazer has a 383 stroker motor a Th400 trans and a Ford 9in. 4.11 geared rear end. Four wheel disc brakes and two inch drop front spindles. With a ProCharger it ran mid nines. Then it was left to sit for about fifteen years. The wheels are not shiney but the paint is OK. The interior is very good . Actual mileage is around 40,000 but the working Cyber-Dyne dash doesn't show it. The front sheet metal is off the car and the engine is stripped to a short block. The block needs to be pulled and the bores honed. There is no ridge in the cylinders. I do have all the sheetmetal including dual electric fans with a Griffin aluminum radiator..... The engine has less than 400 miles on it and it was built to be supercharged. I have bought all new parts to put the engine together including aluminum heads a Holley 870 carb all billet brackets, pulleys, SS hardware a new distributor, wires. Chrome alternator. It has a Victor Jr intake and Tri-Y headers. If it doesn't sell it is going into the shop. The only reason I'm trying to sell it this way is because the shop is 130 miles away round trip. Chevy rolls out Silverado HD High Country
Wed, 09 Apr 2014It's been a good week for heavy-duty truck buyers. First, Ram revealed the Black Package for its HD trucks, then it rolled out its new Power Wagon, and now Chevy's getting in on the action with its Silverado High Country HD. Okay, so it may not pack quite the attitude of Ram's latest 2500-series offerings, but the High Country HD will come as a welcome addition to the Chevy Trucks range to those looking to pull their horse, boat or other trailer without skimping on creature comforts.
Rolled out a little under a year ago, the High Country trim is Chevy's answer to the likes of the GMC Denali, Ford King Ranch and Ram Longhorn. It has until now only been offered on the light duty, 1500-series Silverado, but now extends to the 2500 and 3500-series HD models, as well.
So what sets a High Country pickup apart from lesser Chevy trucks? You'll be able to pick it out based on its chrome horizontal grille, body-color bumpers, 6-inch tubular side steps, 20-inch chrome wheels (18-inch on the 3500 and 17-inch on the dualie) and, of course, plenty of special badging. But it's inside where the High Country makes its mark, with a cabin decked out in saddle brown perforated leather, seats that are both heated and cooled, eight-inch touchscreen with full MyLink suite, Bose audio and park assist functions front and rear to keep those color-keyed bumpers looking fresh. (Though Chevy hasn't yet showed us the interior of the HD model, it'll presumably look mostly the same as the cab in the 1500 High Country in the gallery below.)

Wed, 13 Mar 2013Full Disclosure: in my younger days, I loved nothing more than tormenting passengers with my behind-the-wheel hijinks. Once, after a particularly artful handbrake turn on a two-lane at around 50 miles per hour, I left one backseat occupant crying in their own lap. This isn't necessarily something to be proud of, but it gives you a glimpse into why it is that I find this ad from Pepsi so damn disappointing. The premise is beautiful. Take NASCAR legend Jeff Gordon, give him a disguise and set him loose upon some unsuspecting used car dealer. Hilarity ensues.
Except that this Pepsi Max commercial is so obviously staged, it can't help but feel like some ham-fisted marketing fail. From the strategically placed aftermarket cupholder mounted mid-dash for the hidden camera to the fact that the supposed dealer Camaro is displayed as a 2009 model (Hint: Chevrolet didn't make any), this clip is about as organic as a Twinkie. Still, we would never turn down a chance to watch Gordon thrash on a rental-spec coupe - only problem is, he probably didn't even do the driving himself. Check it out below.
