You are bidding on a 1967 Chevrolet C-30 Flatbed Dually Farm Truck. I have a receipt for the restoration work thus far for $12,900. I can tell you that the truck runs and drives like it should. It is not a hotrod. The transmission and clutch are strong like it was when it was new. It has granny gear in first and reverse which takes some getting use to. I always start out in 2nd gear when driving it on the road. It doesn't leak any fluids of any kind.There are no rips, tears or stains on the bench seat. It looks new and authentic.
I bought it a couple months back and planned on using as a "promotion truck" for my Public Auction business. The problem is, its just too nice for that. I can't stand the thought of scratching it. The bed looks like it was built by a cabinetmaker. The paint is bright and looks like a factory finish. It is obvious to me that the restoration was done according to factory detail. It has 6 new tires that would have been how the truck was ordered in 1967. The engine compartment and fender wells are clean and the frame is as black as midnight. The dash panel has gauges and not dummy lights. I love that feature. The speedometer and gas gauge work for sure but I can't say for sure if the rest of them do. This would make a perfect promo or theme truck for your business. Put your company logo on the doors or put a stake bed on it? It certainly makes a statement and you will love this truck. You will appreciate the detail of the build when you see it. These are my truthful opinions but please use your own judgement when bidding. It's an old classic. Hot Wheels Camaro to make big debut at Indy
Fri, 05 Apr 2013Chevrolet handed over the keys to 33 Hot Wheels Camaro Convertible Indianapolis 500 festival cars this week. Race directors get the luxury of driving the droptops around Indianapolis in an ongoing tradition with roots all the way back to the 1960s. The stunt is supposed to remind area residents that the Indy 500 is right around the corner. The cars are our first look at the special Camaro Hot Wheels Edition in convertible form, and they are slated to head to dealers after a one-time production run. The cars also represent the first time in history full-size Hot Wheels have been offered for sale by an automaker.
The cars will be available in both the previously seen coupe bodystyle and this convertible configuration, and will feature metallic blue paint and special wheels with the iconic redline accent. Buyers will be able to choose between the V6-powered 2LT trim and the V8-powered 2SS guise.
Hot Wheels says the original Custom Camaro toy was one of the original 16 1:64-scale diecasts, and it remains one of the company's most valuable collector items today.
Refreshed 2014 Camaro confirmed for New York debut
Thu, 07 Mar 2013We've already seen leaked specs and potential spy shots, but the refreshed 2014 Chevrolet Camaro will make its official debut at the New York Auto Show in a few weeks.
Besides a tweaked exterior and the possibility of a high-output LS7 under the hood, we really don't know much else about the 2014 Camaro, but here's hoping for an improved interior, too.
In addition to the refreshed Camaro, Chevrolet will also be showing off the recently introduced Chevrolet SS, making its debut on the auto show circuit, and we'll also get our first look at the C7 Corvette coupe and convertible side-by-side.
C7 Corvette turbo with 1,000 horsepower promised from Hennessey
Mon, 25 Feb 2013If you can't wait for the next-generation Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, Hennessey says they will have you covered. The Texas-based company has announced it will offer a spate of upgrades for the 2014 Corvette ranging from a range of bolt-on options all the way up to a 1,000-horsepower, twin-turbo system. Buyers can start with a cold air intake, cat-back exhaust or stainless steel long-tube headers, but Hennessey says it will also offer up three stages of forced induction mayhem should those bits and baubles not provide enough thrust.
Those choices start with a supercharger system good for up to 700 hp, though Hennessey will gladly ditch the blower in favor of two turbos. Doing so will spin the crank to the tune of 800 horsepower all the way up to a certifiably ludicrous 1,000 ponies. There's no word on how much these tricks will cost you - or when they will be available, as we're guessing they haven't gotten their hands on the car yet - but you can head over to the Hennessey site to drop them a line if you're curious.
