We're selling my 1960 Chevy Apache C-20. This truck has been in the family since it was new. Our grandfather was the original owner. He worked for a mechanic at Harbor Chevrolet in Long Beach, CA. Around 1972, he dropped in a small block 350 engine for more power to make the long trips to the White Mountains in Eastern Arizona.
After our grandfather passed, the truck was left to our aunt where it sat in her driveway for 14 years. Then it was handed on to us to bring it back to life. I have a lot of pictures of the condition of the truck before we made all the restorations, in case you're interested. I've taken the restoration project as far as I can (about 85%, making the truck mechanically sound and visually appealing). Now we would love to see it go to someone who will really appreciate it and complete the final details (for example, a father and son project.)
The following is a partial list of restorations:- 350 small block rebuilt, new exhaust, new water pump, rebuilt Rodchester carburetor, new generator, new fuel pump, new hoses, original wood slat bed (had been preserved under an Alcan camper for about 40 years), new paint (to replicate original colors), new rear window and seal, new door seals and chrome kick plates, newer tires and wheels, new stereo, new mirrors, new bumpers, new carpet kit, dash cover and floor mats.
It runs great and has original seat and all original chrome trim molding, which is very hard to find. I have not replaced the front winshield, because I cannot find the seal to accept the chrome trim that goes around the window. (There is one star in the bottom center of the windshield. Optically, it's not a problem.)
Buyer is responsible for pick up or shipping.
Please feel free to ask any questions.

Autoblog Podcast #327:
Are you the 2014 Corvette Grand Sport?
Thu, 21 Feb 2013When are stripes more than just stripes? Follow up question: Is the product development team at Chevrolet really cocky enough to hide the next C7 Corvette variant in plain sight? This very recently spotted, and ostensibly obscured C7 asks a lot more questions than it answers, but there's at least some evidence to support that it might be the next Corvette Grand Sport.
The first and most obvious tip-off that something is up with this 'Vette revolves around those silver stripes. Obviously the stripes themselves don't necessarily denote a new model. However, when Chevy recently launched its "colorizer" website for the Stingray, there was no provision made for racing stripes - solid colors only.
Grand Sport exhibit number two is actually an incriminating lack of badges. The production Corvettes we've seen to date have all carried Stingray badges on their fenders, just behind the vent. The car seen in these images has no such badges, which is an intriguing omission on an car that looks like a production-spec vehicle otherwise.
This is your 2014 Chevrolet SS
Sat, 16 Feb 2013Think you've waited long enough for this? If so, then you'll want to savor the high-res photos we've so far been given of the 2014 Chevrolet SS, the first rear-wheel-drive performance sedan from The Bowtie in 17 years.
We all know its our version of the brand new VF-model Holden Commodore, but what's under the hood that earns the appellation "performance?" A 6.2-liter LS3 V8 engine producing 415 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque. That's 35 hp and lb-ft less than the same engine is expected to produce in the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette. Chevrolet says the sedan will get from 0-to-60 miles per hour "in about five seconds."
Shifting comes courtesy of a six-speed automatic with paddles on the steering wheel, while stopping arrive via four-piston Brembo calipers up front, a single sliding piston in back. The forged aluminum wheels are 19-inchers all around, each set supporting right around 50 percent of the sedan's weight, and the aluminum hood and trunk are meant to keep the center of gravity low.
