1959 Chevy Apache 3100 Stepside Pickup Truck on 2040-cars
Wichita, Kansas, United States
1959 Apache
I traded a City Bus with a brand new rebuilt Diesel Engine & Transmission to a local Paint & Body Shop for a Paint Job. 2 years later I got the Truck back. I'm not happy with the paint and after two years, I've lost interest. This was a Kansas Farm Truck. Most likely has less than 50K Miles but speedometer has been replaced so I cannot attest to that. I could put a new Windshield in it and put the Chrome back on and it would be a great origin condition Driver. But I figure a new owner will want to do all that, particularly paint the dash before putting in a windshield. Truck needs Windshield, Breaks most likely need Bled after sitting for two years. Fuel Tank was treated and clean. Otherwise the Truck is a driver and what I would call a perfect ten footer (looks awesome at 10ft).
All the Chrome, new Weather Stripping and extra parts come with. The Truck is too nice to finish half ass and I've tiered of it and will let the next owner make her a Sweet Apache.
Buyer must pick up or arrange pick up within ten days. I will help on my end and could extend the pick up time if buyer contacts me and lets me know a plan for pick up.
$500 deposit within 48 hours. Remainder before taking possession. Truck has a clear Kansas Antique Title. Vehicle is sold where is, as is. Low Reserve

Amelia Island 2013: Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray from concepts to split windows
Wed, 13 Mar 2013While this year marks 60 years of the Chevrolet Corvette, the 2013 Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance focused on one of the coupe's most sought after models, the 1963 Sting Ray. General Motors design boss Ed Welburn was on hand to show off the all-new C7 Corvette, but even the hard-edged styling of the 2014 Stingray couldn't take away from the beautiful 1963 models sitting out on the field.
In addition to the original Sting Ray and the 1959 Sting Ray Concept, some of the other classic 'Vettes included "Big Tank" racecars, an interesting cutaway coupe, a right-hand-drive Z06 and the attention-grabbing 1963 Corvette Rondine by Pininfarina. Another impressive Corvette was the 1964 Corvette XP-819 rear-engine prototype. Owner Mike Yager had the car finished as a driving chassis for this year's show, but promises the car will be back to its original glory in time for next year's event.
Why the Corvette is Chevrolet's billion-dollar baby
Thu, 28 Feb 2013Edmunds has worked up a piece that tries to figure out just how much the global Chevrolet Corvette economy is worth, a spitballed guesstimate putting the number at more than $2.5 billion with the proviso that the number is probably low. It starts by taking Corvette's new car sales of 14,132 units last year, which would equate to $714,725,900 (including destination) assuming ever car sold was a base coupe with no options. In the final tally, a little extra padding gets that number up to $750,000,000.
But that's not all. Consider this: Many of the almost 1.4 million Corvettes produced over the model's history are still on the road. There are new parts being produced and aftermarket companies like Mid-America Motorworks deaing business, that single Illinois company doing more than $40 million a year in sales. There are the Corvette events large and small, restorers who do nothing but Corvettes, salvage yards that deal only in used Corvette parts and the Corvette magazines where owners find all this stuff.
And then there are the Corvette-themed tchotchkes, every single one of which provides a tiny contribution to the huge licensing royalties that General Motors collects every year. The article admits there's no way to come to an accurate number, but it just goes to show how valuable one specific model can be to a company.
Dodge vs. Chevy tug-of-war taken to the extreme
Mon, 17 Dec 2012They say "idle hands are the devil's playground," but said playgrounds grow to Disney-sized proportions when a pair of jacked-up trucks, two egos, a chain and an empty mall parking lot are involved. Proof of this is the video below, which shows a Cummins-powered Dodge Ram circa 2006 to 2008 chained tail-to-tail with what looks to be a gasoline-powered Chevrolet Silverado from the late 1990s or early 2000s.
We don't necessarily have to tell you who wins this battle, but we'll let you see for yourself the lengths the "winning" driver goes to prove his point. There's plenty of foul language in the video below, so beware that this might be Not Safe For Work, and not that we should have to tell you, but please, do not try this at home.
