THAT ALONG WITH ALL THE NEW CHROME GRILLE, BUMPERS, DOOR HANDLES, HUBCAPS AND MIRROR REALLY SET THE BLACK PAINT OFF. NEW PAINT ON THE INSIDE AS WELL, NEW SEAT COVER, HEADLINER, ALL THE KNOBS, CRANKS, HANDLES, CARPET, SHIFTER BOOT, GAS TANK, SENDING UNIT, GUAGE CLUSTER, ETC. ETC. UNDER THE HOOD IS MY FAVORITE PART, A PLAIN OL' TRUSTY 235 SIX CYLINDER. JUST LIKE IT WAS IN 1955. IT HAS BEEN TUNED UP WITH NEW PLUGS, WIRES, CAP, BUTTON, CARB REBUILT, RADIATOR CLEANED AND TESTED AND IT CRANKS ON THE FIRST TRY AND RUNS GREAT. THE BREAK SYSTEM WAS ALSO REDONE, NEW MASTER CYLINDER, SHOES, HOSES, ETC,. STOPS STRAIGHT WITH NO PROBLEMS. TRANSMISSION IS A GRANNY 4 SPEED AND IT ALSO WORKS PERFECTLY. Survey says $25k barrier is a problem for EVs

The majority of consumers are more or less priced out of the market.
Electric cars are gaining popularity with the general public, but are they still too expensive? According to a survey 1,084 consumers by Navigant Research, a consulting firm located in Boulder, CO, 71 percent want their next car to cost under $25,000, while 41 percent won't go a cent above $20K. Looks like people are even thriftier than we'd originally thought.
Indian tuner turns Chevy Optra into Mustang 'Eleanor' replica

The master fabricators at BigDaddyCustoms are the minds behind what you see above. At first, it appears to be a slightly misshapen custom Mustang, modeled after "Eleanor" from Gone In 60 Seconds, but upon further examination, something appears to be amiss. In fact, the custom shop, based in India, has created an Eleanor replica grafted upon a lowly Chevrolet Optra. While it may take a second for the Optra to ring a bell, you should recognize its badge-engineered sibling, the Daewoo Lacetti, used on Top Gear.
We don't know what star would opt for the Reasonably Priced Car in Shelby's clothing, but it's clearly someone more concerned with the aesthetic than the performance credentials of this automotive mash-up.
Corvette Stingray Convertible images mysteriously appear on web, so we add our own
Tue, 22 Jan 2013It was inevitable that we'd see the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray topless at some point, but that didn't make us any less interested when a pair of supposedly leaked official images showed up on theautoinsiderblog.com last week. We posted them on our Facebook page, but held off reporting on them here until we could get a little more information.
Those images, which feature a dark red car on a sterile black studio background, supposedly first appeared on the website of diecast model maker Maisto. A Chevrolet spokesman has been reported saying that they are "not official images released by Chevrolet PR," which isn't a denial they're the real deal, but neither is it a confirmation.
Close examination of the photos suggest they could be official shots of the Corvette Stingray Convertible, and while some have doubted their authenticity due to a lack of vents (which were seen on the C7s that debuted in Detroit last week), it could be that the images are of a base model car without the Z51 package that doesn't require the extra venting and cooling.
