Selling for a friend, I can answer most questions or I will give you his phone # to call & ask ??'s.

READ EVERYTHING & ASK QUESTIONS.. OR SEE IT IN PERSON FOR INSPECTION.

This is a nice driver, Not a #1 show vehicle. I will explain any bad areas or things it may need.

Keep in mind this is still a nice truck, just not perfect.

It has been driven on several 550 + mile round trips.

It is recommended you see this truck in person if you can & ask ??'s

-Look at all the pictures, All Original Metal..

Original body California truck. Nice driver, not perfect. No replacement panels that we can see. Though it may have some surface rust on the underside and paint blemishes,nicks/scratches and some dings in the bed panels, it is very solid. Look at pictures for blemishes/bad paint areas..

It was built around 2003-2005 in Southern California and was NOT a full frame off restoration. Current owner bought it in 2008. This has been a very good driver and has approx. 12300 miles on it(estimate since build), over 7000 miles put on by current owner.

-It was featured in "Ten Trucks Magazine" (trucksmag.com) issue 43, April 2006.(copy of magazine will be included)

- GoodGuys Rod & Custom - Staff Pick in 2008

- rebuilt or crate 350 V8, 700r4 automatic trans.(approx. 12000 miles on eng./trans.), actual total miles is unknown.  Engine is just a mild/stock 350(old receipt shows crate block purchase). Engine bay is nothing fancy as shown.

- Power steering(power rack), power brakes(disc/drum),  Ididit chrome tilt column.

- TCI Mll front w/ tubular A-arms & drop spindles; 10 bolt rear(non posi) 2-link w/panhard bar,

- Air-Ride susp. front/rear, 5 gal. tank mounted under bed in rear.

- White faced Gauge Cluster(all work) & Speedometer(reads 10-12 mph less than actual speed)

- New - 17" & 18" Artillery wheels(alum. from WheelSmith), powder coated centers w/ polished lip

- New - 1937 hub caps(repo).

- Approx. 750 miles on new wheels/tires and radiator.

- Original Dieterich accessory windshield Sun Visor.

- Nice chrome/stainless trim inside & out. This truck has all the chrome trim you could have, even the lower seat box frame trim is chrome..

-  Interior is grey leather or ultra leather. - Exterior color is a light blue metallic(it is a little darker than some of the pictures show).

- ** Things it may need or need that we know of;

*Radio does not work. *Heater is not hooked up. *No wiper motor. *Bed wood should be resealed. *Carpet shows wear. *Battery cover needs to be placed under carpet(doesn't latch correctly).

*Windshield will need to be reset or rubber gasket replaced. Owner noticed water weeping in at the corners of windshield when it was caught in the rain last year.

*Speedometer reads about 10-12 mph less than actual speed(change gear if you want).

*Rear diff. weeps a little fluid occasionally.

-*The paint as stated has some nicks, scratches, small rock chips & other blemishes.  Interior paint is not perfect and thin in certain areas. *Interior of cab is not painted in the gas tank area behind seat. *Paint on some dash areas is flaked/chipped(around ignition hole & some of the dash knobs). *There are dings in the original bed panels on the inside of bed.

-* LOOK at pictures for some noticeable wear marks;  I can only post 24 pictures max.

Why the Corvette is Chevrolet's billion-dollar baby

Thu, 28 Feb 2013 09:59:00 EST

Edmunds has worked up a piece that tries to figure out just how much the global Chevrolet Corvette economy is worth, a spitballed guesstimate putting the number at more than $2.5 billion with the proviso that the number is probably low. It starts by taking Corvette's new car sales of 14,132 units last year, which would equate to $714,725,900 (including destination) assuming ever car sold was a base coupe with no options. In the final tally, a little extra padding gets that number up to $750,000,000.
But that's not all. Consider this: Many of the almost 1.4 million Corvettes produced over the model's history are still on the road. There are new parts being produced and aftermarket companies like Mid-America Motorworks deaing business, that single Illinois company doing more than $40 million a year in sales. There are the Corvette events large and small, restorers who do nothing but Corvettes, salvage yards that deal only in used Corvette parts and the Corvette magazines where owners find all this stuff.
And then there are the Corvette-themed tchotchkes, every single one of which provides a tiny contribution to the huge licensing royalties that General Motors collects every year. The article admits there's no way to come to an accurate number, but it just goes to show how valuable one specific model can be to a company.

The story of the 2014 Chevrolet SS: "Luxury, power, refinement, handling"

Thu, 07 Mar 2013 20:01:00 EST

Not including the women and men who built it, the 2014 Chevrolet SS has only been seen in person by a piddling number of people - fewer humans than would fill the gymnasium at a high school volleyball game. Not including the men and women who built it, no one has driven it. Even so, it is already saddled with two controversies: the way it looks and the way it shifts.
First to that shifting. Did we love the last Americanized Holden, the awesomely sportsome Pontiac G8 GXP, and its six-speed manual? Of course. Do we wish the SS came with a six-speed manual? Of course. But we'd like a toboggan to come with a manual transmission. We'd put a manual transmission on a weasel if we could because we're just wired that way; if it moves, it should come with a stick and a clutch. Or at least the option.
Let's climb down off the ledge, though. We haven't driven the SS and we have no idea how good (or not) the automatic is. And the Hobson's Choice in transmissions when it comes to sport sedans like the BMW M5, Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG and Jaguar XFR-S and, oh yeah, cars-that-really-should-have-manuals like the Audi R8 and Nissan GT-R and Porsche 918 and every single Lamborghini and Ferrari, for instance, hasn't stopped us from enjoying what is clearly the gruesome, dual-clutched demise of Western automotive civilization. Because in spite of our ululations at the dying of the six-speed light, we understand.

Chevy Camaro is a good sport, wishes Ford Mustang Happy 50th

Tue, 15 Apr 2014 15:45:00 EST

It was 1966 when Chevrolet launched its challenger to the wildly successful Ford Mustang, the Camaro. While the competition between the two brands was already healthy, the arrival of the Camaro set off one of the most intense, model-to-model rivalries in the industry.
That competitive spirit hasn't stopped Chevy and the Camaro from wishing Ford's iconic muscle car a Happy 50th Birthday as the Ford's April 17 anniversary rolls around. These two cars have been linked over the years, and while the rivalry took a break for a few years in the 2000s, today's competition between the Camaro and Mustang is as fierce as it's ever been.
You might recall that this friendliness when it comes to major milestones isn't too rare. Ford put on quite a display for General Motors' hundredth anniversary back in 2008. As the Camaro's fiftieth birthday approaches in 2016, we wouldn't be surprised to see the Mustang sending its best wishes to its Bowtie rival.
