1941 Custom rat rod!!!!! Fully built 1 off truck with way to much to list. I am selling this truck for my 70 year old father. He bought this truck about 10 years ago and has used it as his play toy. the cab is a 1941 chevy that has been chopped and channeled the frame and bed are all custom built. the rear has a 8.8 with link bars and air bags. the front is the stock drop axle that was completely rebuilt. The motor is a 350 v8 vortec motor that has very low miles but was painted to look aged. Transmission is a turbo 350 auto 3 speed with a shift kit. The truck is sitting on new staggered tires with big and little steel rims. The whole truck has a really cool patina paint job. there is tons of cool touches like brass knuckle gussets wrench door handles and throttle linkage. This truck gets tons of attention and thumbs up's. it is a rat rod and drives and looks like one. Truck has a clean NJ title in hand and is as is where is! thanks for looking.........

Watch this creative way to pull a truck's engine
Fri, 08 Mar 2013Living in an apartment complex has its benefits, but for shade-tree mechanics who like/need to work on their own cars, it definitely has a number of disadvantages. Relatively simple tasks such as brake jobs and oil changes are difficult when you don't have dedicated driveway space, to say nothing of more in-depth repairs... like pulling an engine, for example.

Refreshed 2014 Camaro confirmed for New York debut
Thu, 07 Mar 2013We've already seen leaked specs and potential spy shots, but the refreshed 2014 Chevrolet Camaro will make its official debut at the New York Auto Show in a few weeks.
Besides a tweaked exterior and the possibility of a high-output LS7 under the hood, we really don't know much else about the 2014 Camaro, but here's hoping for an improved interior, too.
In addition to the refreshed Camaro, Chevrolet will also be showing off the recently introduced Chevrolet SS, making its debut on the auto show circuit, and we'll also get our first look at the C7 Corvette coupe and convertible side-by-side.

Sat, 16 Feb 2013Think you've waited long enough for this? If so, then you'll want to savor the high-res photos we've so far been given of the 2014 Chevrolet SS, the first rear-wheel-drive performance sedan from The Bowtie in 17 years.
We all know its our version of the brand new VF-model Holden Commodore, but what's under the hood that earns the appellation "performance?" A 6.2-liter LS3 V8 engine producing 415 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque. That's 35 hp and lb-ft less than the same engine is expected to produce in the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette. Chevrolet says the sedan will get from 0-to-60 miles per hour "in about five seconds."
Shifting comes courtesy of a six-speed automatic with paddles on the steering wheel, while stopping arrive via four-piston Brembo calipers up front, a single sliding piston in back. The forged aluminum wheels are 19-inchers all around, each set supporting right around 50 percent of the sedan's weight, and the aluminum hood and trunk are meant to keep the center of gravity low.
