This car has been in inside storage since about 1985. The trunk floor has some rust (pin holes but nothing major), in the drivers side because of a bad trunk weatherstrip seal. It sat outside from about 1982 to 85 and the lip between the bumper and rear panel is shot. There were only 3200 4 banger Chevy II made that year, the last year for the iron duke Nova. Wonder how many are left?...because most got rodded. You can do it either way...restore or rod. It would be a good candidate for a big block clone. It was hit behind the drivers side door and rear wheel opening, it was repaired but never painted, and placed outside for approx. 3 years. Hence the surface rust on the exterior panles, primer and spot putty. Then it went to inside storge where its been ever since. The repaired quarter sail panel area needs a little work...no quarter panel, The car is pretty darn solid. Check the photos. It has 35,000 original miles on it when it was parked. (See dash photo of the odometer) The trunk lid, both bumpers and brackets are missing. My ex-brother-in-law blew it apart about 20 years ago and its sat inside ever since. I just have too many projects and not enough years left to finish them. Comes with a clear Michigan title. The car was originaly from northern Indiana. Local pick up with your trailer...we'll help load it. If you need more photos ask, but I aint pulling all the parts out of the interior for photos. Sold as is, no returns, local pick up.

Please take a look at my other 3 items...car stuff.

Veyron and C7 Corvette join cast of Transformers 4

Wed, 29 May 2013

Like the Fast & Furious franchise, the Michael Bay-directed series of Transformers movies has become known as much for its bad acting as its impressive lineup of cars. As filming just started for Transformers 4, Bay's website has confirmed two new cars for the next installment as well as a makeover for everyone's favorite tractor trailer hero, Optimus Prime.
Joining the cast of T4 are a "race-inspired" Chevrolet Corvette Stingray and a Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse. While Bay's website did not supply names for either car, Bugatti is reporting on its Facebook page that the Veyron will join the Autobots. Speaking of the good guys, top Autobot Optimus Prime is getting an all-new body based on a Western Star with a gaudy appearance that was seemingly inspired by Trick My Truck - right down to the six smoke stacks and side pipes!

Are you the 2014 Corvette Grand Sport?

Thu, 21 Feb 2013

When are stripes more than just stripes? Follow up question: Is the product development team at Chevrolet really cocky enough to hide the next C7 Corvette variant in plain sight? This very recently spotted, and ostensibly obscured C7 asks a lot more questions than it answers, but there's at least some evidence to support that it might be the next Corvette Grand Sport.
The first and most obvious tip-off that something is up with this 'Vette revolves around those silver stripes. Obviously the stripes themselves don't necessarily denote a new model. However, when Chevy recently launched its "colorizer" website for the Stingray, there was no provision made for racing stripes - solid colors only.
Grand Sport exhibit number two is actually an incriminating lack of badges. The production Corvettes we've seen to date have all carried Stingray badges on their fenders, just behind the vent. The car seen in these images has no such badges, which is an intriguing omission on an car that looks like a production-spec vehicle otherwise.

Chevy shows much-improved 2014 Corvette interior in new video

Mon, 11 Feb 2013

If you want a closer look at what went into designing and building the interior for the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette, we've got just the thing. General Motors has released a new video detailing the cabin's evolution from conception to execution, complete with commentary from Ryan Vaughn, performance car interior design manager with Chevrolet. The quick clip details how manufacturing, engineering and design within General Motors worked together from the first sketches to ensure no compromises had to be made later down the line. How novel.
With plenty of hides traced with contrast stitching and available real carbon fiber trim, the cabin looks to be a few hundred miles ahead of the C6. Given how readily critics derided the previous generation for its cabin, the C7 should make writers work a little harder to find something to complain about. Check out the video below for yourself.
