This is an original factory Super Sport Nova with the L79 option. The block casting number is (3858180) which is the correct time period for this application. These particular engines were produced between 1965-66 at the Tonawanda N.Y. engine plant. They were built in various horsepower configurations, but Chevrolet records indicate that starting in March of 1966 these models were either 275 hp or 350hp. This engine has a date code stamped on the block which shows it was produced at the Tonawanda N.Y facility on March 27th 1966. It's kinda cool that the stamp code (TO327HC) and the engine production date and cubic inch are the same (327). All of the larger horsepower applications were fitted with 12 bolt differentials, posi trac rear ends and multi leaf springs as this car is. The engine has the correct double hump heads, larger valves plus a low mount alternator. The headers and entire exhaust system has recently been ceramic coated with flow masters and electric exhaust dumps. The car has a muncie close ratio 4 spd trans with a factory console. Upgraded instrument panel, Rosewood steering wheel, Bucket seats, Deluxe interior with appearance package group and disc brakes. The car sports its original front suspension, drive line and rear differential of which all were gone through at the time of restoration including replacing both left and right rear quarter fenders. The trunk and floor pans are solid. This car has not been cut or modified in any way that would detract from its appearance or value. The car has been stored in a climate controlled garage on a sealed concrete floor. The restoration was completed in approximately 2001 and the car has about 1500 miles on it. The only upgrade that I would recommend if you chose to drive the car long distances would be a 5 speed. Let's all remember this is not a new car and although it has been professionally restored it wasn't perfect the day it left the factory. That being said the car is very, very nice and has been a pride and joy to own. It has been an award winner at virtually every car show I've attended. Rest assured whomever buys the car could not build or restore this car for anywhere near the selling price. I am happy to answer any questions you may have. You are welcome to make an appt and drive/fly to Tulsa to inspect the vehicle. I will try and accommodate you anyway possible! The car requires nothing to enjoy - just turn the key and go!

Chevy Camaro is a good sport, wishes Ford Mustang Happy 50th
Tue, 15 Apr 2014It was 1966 when Chevrolet launched its challenger to the wildly successful Ford Mustang, the Camaro. While the competition between the two brands was already healthy, the arrival of the Camaro set off one of the most intense, model-to-model rivalries in the industry.
That competitive spirit hasn't stopped Chevy and the Camaro from wishing Ford's iconic muscle car a Happy 50th Birthday as the Ford's April 17 anniversary rolls around. These two cars have been linked over the years, and while the rivalry took a break for a few years in the 2000s, today's competition between the Camaro and Mustang is as fierce as it's ever been.
You might recall that this friendliness when it comes to major milestones isn't too rare. Ford put on quite a display for General Motors' hundredth anniversary back in 2008. As the Camaro's fiftieth birthday approaches in 2016, we wouldn't be surprised to see the Mustang sending its best wishes to its Bowtie rival.
Ford, Toyota clean up in Best Car For The Money Awards
Fri, 22 Feb 2013The U.S. News Best Cars for the Money Awards picks winners by looking at the average transaction price, five-year total cost of ownership, the regard a car has from the automotive press, reliability figures from J.D. Power and Associates and safety data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The result, according to the magazine, is "the best combination of critical acclaim and long-term value."
Ford nabbed six of the 21 categories that received awards this year, the Focus, Fusion, Fusion Hybrid, Taurus, Escape and Edge getting trophies. Toyota and its Lexus and Scion sub-brands took another five, the Tacoma and Tundra owning the two categories given to pickup trucks. The other ten awards were split between Honda with three, Buick with two, and one each for Subaru, BMW, Hyundai, Chevrolet and Mazda.

Chevrolet planning low-cost Corvette under Stingray?
Wed, 27 Feb 2013If you're burnt out on musings about the Chevrolet Corvette, you'll want to go ahead and skip this post. Motor Trend reports General Motors is hard at work on a low-cost version of the seventh-generation sports car for 2015. Rumored to be called the Corvette Coupe, the car will forgo the Stingray and skip the 450-horsepower 6.2-liter V8 engine in favor of a 5.3-liter V8 with under 400 ponies. If you're keeping track, that's a shade of the same engine found behind the headlights of the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra.
The report also suggests the Coupe will receive a number of aesthetic tweaks to separate it from the Stingray, including different front and rear fascias as well as new front fenders and a rear diffuser. Motor Trend says the point of all this is to cut the car's price tag, which means we may see a Corvette on showroom floors for less than $50,000 if this car comes to fruition.
