You are bidding on a gorgeous ground up restored 1966 Chevy II Nova Hardtop Pro-Touring Beast, originally from Texas where it spent most of its life so there is no rust on the body and the underneath looks as clean as when it rolled off the factory line. This beauty was painted 2 years ago and looks astonishing as you can tell in the pictures, paint is PPG Royal Blue with airbrushed flames. The body is laser straight, no rust, no waves, no bondo, extremely deep shine, no orange peel, all the gaps are perfect, very few Novas with this nice of a body. This gem always draws a crowd at the shows or at the gas stations with the custom one of a kind paint job and muscle car sound.

Powertrain consists of a fresh Crate Aluminum Head ZZ4 GM 350 with Aftermarket Comp Roller Cam 282 Duration .560 Lift, Weiand Aluminum Intake, Demon 725 Vacuum Secondary Carburetor, Hooker Super Comp Ceramic Headers, 7 Quart Oil Pan, GM Powder Coated Valve covers, Engine has about 3000 Miles on it and runs extremely strong has a little over 400 Horse. Transmission is a Turbo 400 with 2500 Stall all rebuilt with hardened internals, b&m shifter, Stainless steel AN tranny lines to aftermarket cooler, new trans dipstick the good one with the one piece seal, and many other high performance goodies. Rear is a 8.2 all rebuilt with 3:73 richmond gears, Mr Gasket Girdle, aftermarket axles, high performance bearings and seals, coilover shocks, and traction bars. Cooling this monster is a new Be Cool aluminum radiator with dual electric fans which allows it to never run over 190. New Weld Draglites with new tires on all 4 corners helps for a comfortable ride. All new Power Disc Brakes up front with vacuum can so it can stop on a dime. Car runs off 93 just fine and with the new flowmasters it really shakes the ground and sounds very healthy. Starts with a bump of the key every time, and has excellent street manners, no leaks at all. Originally an A/C car so could be added with ease if new owner desired.

All the interior is mostly new with new front seats, new rear seats, new GM dash the actual dash not that dash cap crap, new door panels, new carpet, new rear view mirror, new GM sill plates with Fisher decals,  headliner and sunvisors are in great shape, new package tray, all new speakers, it is wired and ready to go for a radio just didn’t know if I wanted an original with the aftermarket fm radio or to go full custom,  I will leave that for the new owner to decide but all the wiring is already hooked up just pick a radio and that’s it, the factory radio hole is uncut. New custom stainless flame steering wheel, new glove box door lock with working key. All gauges work with the exception of the speedo which wasn’t hooked up after the tranny was replaced I was going to go with an aftermarket cluster so never worried about it but just needs the cable installed to work. Gas gauge, wipers, lights, etc. all work as they should.

Underneath is super solid no rust as stated before car is from Texas and car spent most of its life in Texas so no rust anywhere. Trunk is nice and solid with carpet installed. New Lenses in the rear, New Headlights, all the stainless and emblems are in excellent shape, the bumpers are original and show very little wear.

Overall an extremely nice Nova you won’t find a nicer one for the money, fly in and drive it home and have plenty of fun along the way. I will let the pictures do the talking from here car looks even better in person. Turn the key and enjoy this one is a beauty. Clear Florida title, car is sold AS-IS with local inspections welcome and encouraged no disappointments car is as advertised. Payment is due 7 days after auction ends, any questions call Frank at 863-381-3499 Thanks!

GM investing $167m in Spring Hill for new midsize vehicles

Tue, 06 Aug 2013

General Motors has announced a large investment in its Spring Hill, Tennessee facility. The former home of Saturn production will be getting a $167 million addition to a previously announced $183 million, to cover a pair of new midsize vehicles. The investment is expected to create 1,800 jobs at the factory.
That $350 million is being divvied up for a pair of programs at Spring Hill. The first will take the bulk of the money ($223 million) and create 1,000 of the 1,800 jobs, while the other will take the remaining $127 million and generate the leftover 800 positions. But GM says the investment will cover "midsize vehicle programs." So what could they be?
The leading candidate in our minds is a new crossover for Buick, called the Anthem, that will slot between the Encore and Enclave, but will be slightly smaller than the Equinox and Terrain. As we've explained, the new model will likely be the first product to sport GM's new D2UX platform, which will eventually replace both the Delta and Theta platforms. Spring Hill is already building the Equinox, so there could be some credence to this theory.

Chevy Corvette Stingray "colorizer" lets you chase the rainbow

Thu, 14 Feb 2013

After you've convinced your better half to let you buy a new Corvette, then comes the hard part... actually figuring out which 'Vette you want. While Chevrolet has yet to release the official configurator for the 2014 Corvette Stingray, it did give us something else to kill some time playing around with.
The C7 Corvette "colorizer" recently went online, and it lets you look at the car in all of its available colors and wheel options from four different angles so that when this car does go on sale, you know exactly which one you want. It includes the Corvette's full pallet of colors including Torch Red, Laguna Blue and the hue you see above, Velocity Yellow. Toss in the black wheels, and we're sold. If you have some time this afternoon, be sure to check it out the Corvette colorizer for yourself, and even if you don't have the time, we've put together a gallery with all of the possible color combinations.
