 FOR SALE:
1988 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS Pro Street
This is a genuine Super Sport as evidenced by the letter G in the eighth position of the VIN.
This car is powered by a Chevrolet ZZ502 crate motor that makes more than 500 horsepower! The motor is fresh and it has logged less than 1000 miles since it was unpackaged and installed in the car.
A Hurst ratchet shifter puts you in control of the built Turbo 400 automatic transmission that shifts smoothly.
The car boasts a Ford 9-inch rear end and 4.11 gears.
The car is tubbed to accommodate a great pair of Mickey Thompson Sportsman tires mounted on polished Weld ProStar wheels.
The front tires (Mickey Thompson) and wheels are brand new.
The 502 is set up to be fed with a 150 horsepower shot of nitrous.
The car is finished in pearl white hue that was originally found on Cadillac Escalades.  The paint is driver quality.
The maroon interior remains close to original even with the modifications seen.
To ensure safe enjoyment, a pair of 4-point G-Force harnesses and a roll cage have been installed.
The car features a Pioneer Premier head unit with a CD player and Sirius XM capabilities along with a 12-inch Alphasonik subwoofer powered by a sufficient amplifier.
The car runs and drives great and it is a certain provider of worry-free enjoyment. This car is ready for anything that you can throw at it.  The car has never been raced but I do know that the car has a considerable amount of power and torque.  The car does not present any reliability issues and the 502 fires the first time, every time.  As you probably guessed, this car is not for the faint of heart and that is evident after looking at and hearing the car.  This is a professional build and it should not be mistaken for anything less.

If you have any questions pertaining to the car or the purchase process, please contact me at (270) 748-1882 with a call or a text.  The car nor the title will leave my possession until I have received the full purchase price amount in cash, wire transfer, or cashier's check form.  if you choose to ship the car, the shipping expenses will be your responsibility but I will accommodate any shipping arrangements that you may make. GM won't sell 2014 Chevrolet SS in Canada

Thu, 21 Feb 2013

Allow us to be the first to extend our condolences to our friends to the north. General Motors has announced the 2014 Chevrolet SS will not be available in Canada. The Globe and Mail reports the automaker has confirmed the high-performance sedan won't hit Canadian dealers, though GM hasn't offered up any reasoning as to why that is.
Buyers here in the US of A, meanwhile, can look forward to getting their hands on the 415-horspower, rear-wheel drive SS by late summer. Something tells us it won't be long after that before Canadian officials start seeing individually imported 6.2-liter V8 four-doors in their neighborhoods. Fortunately, Canadian buyers will still be able to take home the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette. The C7 bowed at the Canadian International Auto Show last week, reportedly drawing sizable crowds and interest.

Man surprises girlfriend with C7 Corvette

Mon, 07 Oct 2013

How would you react if someone just showed up at your place of work with a new, 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, complete with all the trimmings? While a lot of us would likely be flipping out over the still rare sports car, it's a fair bet many more of us would be responding like Pattie here, whose boyfriend stopped by her work to show her her new C7.
Speechless and shocked as she seems, she does end up taking it out for a drive, despite claiming she wasn't really outfitted to handle the car's seven-speed manual transmission at the time. From the sound of the video, we got the impression that she knew the car was coming, just not that it was anywhere near ready for delivery. It also, as Pattie says, seems like her boyfriend is more excited about the car than she (which, can we blame him?). Take a look down below for the full video of this C7 Stingray delivery.

Chevy might've pulled out of NASCAR if it weren't for new Gen 6 car

Wed, 20 Feb 2013

We've been on the fence with NASCAR for some time now. On one hand, it's some of the closest racing anywhere in motorsports, with actual passing and door-handle-to-door-handle action as a matter of course. But on the other, it's become template racing - a personality-driven sport more about the drivers than any sort of loyalty to a particular automaker. The Car Of Tomorrow format really rammed that message home, with a racecar's identity coming down to little more than headlamp stickers slapped on the nose. That's not necessarily a bad thing in and of itself, but we've wondered for some time what's in it for the automakers, who pay big money to stay in a series that has had little increasingly little do with street car sales, let alone innovation.
Apparently General Motors was beginning to wonder the same thing. In a new ESPN report, Rick Hendrick, team owner of Hendrick Motorsports, suggests that GM would have seriously considered leaving NASCAR if it wasn't for the move away from the COT to the new Gen 6 racer. According to Hendrick, GM North America boss Mark Reuss spearheaded the charge away from the 2007 COT and toward a racecar with clearer automaker ties - cars like the new Chevrolet SS racer shown above. Learn more about the fight for a closer-to-production look in the ESPN story at the link.
Now, if we could just get more rear-wheel drive V8 coupes into showrooms....
