I purchased this former drag car on ebay from North Carolina in 2010 for $4K. Since that time it has been garage-kept and had about 200 miles put on it. Car runs and drives fantastically; selling because I've had a job change that requires a more sensible in-town vehicle for hauling things. Would consider trade for late-model wagon. PREVIOUS OWNER: Installed a remanufactured and bored-over SB350 (upgraded interior parts including Big Mother Thumpr cam, long-tube headers, Edelbrock intake), TH350 trans, air-bag rear suspension, removed vinyl from top, painted car "Burple" (blue/purple candy). I HAVE ADDED: Incubus Overlord 523 Chrome 20x9 5x114 5x120 10-74.1 Nitto Neo Gen 235/30/20 All Season 280 AA/A 88w (nitrogen) Wheel-locking bolts IAS Performer Shocks (front) Grant steering wheel 13-1/2 purple Hood pins with torsion clip Oil pan, oil pickup and oil pump Be Cool Wheels Crossflow aluminum radiator, all new braided steel hoses Corbeau Sport Seat (x-wide) driver seat, passenger Summit Racing Sport black All new AutoMeter Phantom II gauages (speedo, tach, oil, water, voltage, oil temp, air/fuel) StreetFire Distributor and Street Fire Ignitor Spectre Dual Cold Air intake kit Hurst V-Matic 2 shifter E3 spark plugs Harwood fiberglass Pro Touring Series bolt-on hood Summit Racing dual exhaust and mufflers New turn signal lever, switches, springs New heater core New stereo, amplifier, subwoofer, speakers New carpet, headliner, spark plug wires, many other minor parts CAR COMES WITH (NOT YET INSTALLED): New Holley carb (650 cfm) and jet kit; back wheel spacers (if back is to be lowered or substantial weight in trunk wheel spacers will be needed); black dash cover and installation kit (interior has been transformed from maroon to black about 80%; doors and back seat need to be dyed). Again, car runs and drives great as-is. Project is NOT showroom complete but for a daily driver that looks really cool and hauls a** this car is ready to go. Paint job is not perfect; has orange peel and scratches which need work. Front bumper has tiny hole/crack on driver's side (not structural, just needs putty to fix). Car does NOT currently have catalytic converters, check your local/state emissions laws (Illinois does not require emissions tests for 25+ year old vehicles). General Motors shaking up its marketing... again
Wed, 13 Mar 2013One of the things that dogs the full comeback of General Motors is the instability of its marketing. That part of the automaker got yet another big shakeup today when GM confirmed what I have been tweeting for a few days - strong rumors that the Chevrolet and Cadillac ad accounts are walking to new ad agencies.
Cadillac, GM's luxury brand, is going into review from Fallon Worldwide, Minneapolis and the indications are that Campbell-Ewald, Chevy's old ad shop, will end up with most or all of it. C-E just announced that it was moving from its long-time home in Warren, MI to a new downtown Detroit office next to Ford Field, just blocks from GM.
The other shoe to drop shortly will be the shift of GM's most important brand, Chevy, from Goodby, Silverstein & Partners of San Francisco to McCann-Erickson of Troy, MI. McCann used to be the agency for Buick and GMC, as well as GM's corporate advertising, and has retained some pieces of business over the last few years. Sources have even told us that it was McCann that did a lot of the creative work on Chevy's new ad platform, Find New Roads. (Not to be confused with a former McCann tagline for Saab, "Find Your Own Road.")

The Poncho is dead. Long live the Poncho. Like certain other reoccurring personal maladies, the aftermarket community simply can't let the Trans Am go without another flare up. The guys at Trans Am Depot have worked up a quick commercial for their newest creation: The 2013 Trans Am Hurst Edition, and it watches pretty much like you'd expect it to. The footage is comprised of just about every TA male fantasy you can conceive of, from Daisy Dukes and white tank tops to tramp stamps, bikinis and ice cream cones. There simply aren't words for what you'll see below.
Of course, we like our T-Tops as much as the next guy. If you like what you see in the videos, you can pick up your very own TA by heading over to the Trans Am Depot site. The guys even have Chevrolet Camaro-based versions of the Pontiac GTO if the '77 TA treatment is too much for your tastes. Enjoy, but don't say we didn't warn you.
