1971 CHEVROLET MONTE CARLOFACTORY A/C FACTORY POWER WINDOWS FACTORY POWER SEAT FRONT DISC BRAKES POWER STEERING 402 "BIG BLOCK" 3 SPEED AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION DUAL EXHAUST 12 BOLT 273 REAR END ("NON-POSI" ) STRATO BUCKET SEATS CONSOLE WITH AUTOMATIC SHIFTER FRAME IS GOOD MATCHING # MOTOR ON THIS CAR HAS GOOD FRAME AND GOOD FLOOR PANS, BUT THE TRUNK PAN NEEDS TO BE REPLACED NEW POWER STEERING PUMP NEW ALTERNATOR NEW STARTER NEW PULLEYS NEW BRACKETS NEW WATER PUMP AN OLDER GENTLEMAN WHO LOOKED TO BE 70 YEARS OLD OWNED THIS CAR. IT HAD BEEN SITTING HALF WAY IN A SMALL CARPORT FOR 23 YEARS, NOT RUNNING. HIS SON TOOK PARTS OFF OF IT, INCLUDING : THE CARBORATOR, THE FAN SHROUD, THE POWER STEERING PUMP, THE ALTERNATOR, THE STARTER, AND ALL THE BIG BLOCK PULLEYS AND BRACES. WE REPLACED THE MASTER CYLINDER. , THE CARBORATOR, THE FAN SHROUD, NEW POWER STEERING PUMP, NEW ALTERNATOR, NEW STARTER, NEW BIG BLOCK PULLEYS , NEW BIG BLOCK BRACES, AND WE GOT IT STARTED AFTER SITTING FOR 23 YEARS.THE MOTOR RUNS BUT I WOULD REBUILD IT . THE LAST TAG WAS 1991 . A/C COMPRESSOR IS NOT LOCKED UP. PLEASE NOTICE HOW GOOD THE FRONT OF THE CAR IS INCLUDING THE SEATS, CONSOLE, CARPET, AND DASH COVER. IF THIS CAR DID NOT HAVE A VINYL TOP AND SAT HALF WAY OUT THE CARPORT FOR 23 YEARS THERE WOULD BE VERY LITTLE RUST ON THE QUARTER PANELS. NEEDS TWO FULL QUARTERS AND TRUNK PAN. THE FRAME AND THE FLOOR IS GOOD. THE BODY LINES ARE STRAIGHT. WE CHECKED THE BODY WITH A MAGNET AND FOUND NO SIGN OF "BONDO" ON THE SIDES. THE TIRES THAT WERE ON IT WERE DRY ROTTED, SO WE PUT THESE RED WALL TIRES ON IT. I BELIEVE THIS ORIGINAL CARPET CAN BE TAKEN OUT AND PRESSURED WASHED BECAUSE IT IS STILL LOOKS GOOD . Thu, 02 May 2013With Mother's Day coming up, we're always looking for new gift ideas to celebrate the occasion, but hot laps around a track might not be the best suggestion for Darius Khashabi. In a video posted on YouTube, Khashabi straps his mom into the passenger seat of his C6 Corvette Z06 for some laps around Sonoma Raceway (formerly Infineon Raceway) at "60 percent" with comical results.
Now this isn't the first time Mama Khashabi has gotten seat time in her son's car around a track, as his YouTube page shows him pulling a similar stunt - with similar results - around Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca last year. 2014 Chevy Cruze Diesel destined for Chicago debut
Mon, 28 Jan 2013It's been a little over a year and a half since General Motors first confirmed plans to offer a diesel-powered Chevrolet Cruze here in the United States, and we've now learned that the oil-burning compact will debut under the lights of the Chicago Auto Show in February. According to GM Authority, the Cruze Eco-D will be introduced as part of the entire 2014 model year Cruze range, set to go on sale in the second quarter of this year.
Earlier reports have indicated that the diesel Cruze will be able to achieve fuel economy numbers in the range of 50 miles per gallon. For comparison, the similarly sized Volkswagen Jetta TDI is rated at 30/42 mpg city/highway, but as we found out in our long-term test of the 2011 model, hitting 50 mpg was a piece of cake.
Official specifications will be released at the time of the 2014 Cruze's unveiling, though reports have stated that the sedan will be powered by a reworked version of the 2.0-liter turbo-diesel inline-four found in the Holden Cruze CDX overseas. In that application, the four-pot oil-burner produces 160 horsepower and 265 pound-feet of torque - increases of 20 hp and 29 lb-ft over the 2.0-liter engine used in VW's Jetta TDI.
Indian tuner turns Chevy Optra into Mustang 'Eleanor' replica

The master fabricators at BigDaddyCustoms are the minds behind what you see above. At first, it appears to be a slightly misshapen custom Mustang, modeled after "Eleanor" from Gone In 60 Seconds, but upon further examination, something appears to be amiss. In fact, the custom shop, based in India, has created an Eleanor replica grafted upon a lowly Chevrolet Optra. While it may take a second for the Optra to ring a bell, you should recognize its badge-engineered sibling, the Daewoo Lacetti, used on Top Gear.
We don't know what star would opt for the Reasonably Priced Car in Shelby's clothing, but it's clearly someone more concerned with the aesthetic than the performance credentials of this automotive mash-up.
