Here is a very nice looking and clean 1970 Monte Carlo.

The motor was rebuilt 7 years ago. 350 cubic inch Chevy motor (not sure if it is original to the car), with a 12 bolt rear end that runs strong. It has an Edelbrock four barrel carburetor, K&N air filter, with dual exhaust that sounds great also. It has three speed automatic transmission (TH 350) I just replaced the master cylinder, Rear brake cylinders, and brake pads.It has power brakes and steering, and after markrt steering wheel. I have the original steering wheel that will sell with the car. The front and rear suspension parts are in great condition.

It has an AC that, blows cold air. The interior of the car is in great shape! The carpet, door panels and seat covers have all been replaced at some point and are all in great shape. The dash is also in very nice condition! There is an old school CRAIG AM/FM radio with cassette player stereo that has with  rear and front speakers. Everything works with the exception of the clock. The fuel gauge works but is slightly miscalibrated- but certainly lets you know how much gas is in the tank.

The car was painted about 7 years ago. It still shines up and presents well. The car has some rust on the rear window, due to the design,  (very common problem with the “1970-1972’s”). All new weather stripping through out as well. The frame is in outstanding condition! The floors are like new! The trunk pan does not have holes in both rear corners. It still has the original poly spare tire and original jack! Chevrolet rally wheels , it has Cooper Cobra Radial GT tires!

Color : Bronze - interior /exterior

Drives and handles like a new car, and flows with traffic on the highway without effort.
This car get plenty of looks!!

Shipping of the car is the responsibility of buyer but I will be happy to assist you in locating transportation for the car.

Chevy might've pulled out of NASCAR if it weren't for new Gen 6 car

Wed, 20 Feb 2013

We've been on the fence with NASCAR for some time now. On one hand, it's some of the closest racing anywhere in motorsports, with actual passing and door-handle-to-door-handle action as a matter of course. But on the other, it's become template racing - a personality-driven sport more about the drivers than any sort of loyalty to a particular automaker. The Car Of Tomorrow format really rammed that message home, with a racecar's identity coming down to little more than headlamp stickers slapped on the nose. That's not necessarily a bad thing in and of itself, but we've wondered for some time what's in it for the automakers, who pay big money to stay in a series that has had little increasingly little do with street car sales, let alone innovation.
Apparently General Motors was beginning to wonder the same thing. In a new ESPN report, Rick Hendrick, team owner of Hendrick Motorsports, suggests that GM would have seriously considered leaving NASCAR if it wasn't for the move away from the COT to the new Gen 6 racer. According to Hendrick, GM North America boss Mark Reuss spearheaded the charge away from the 2007 COT and toward a racecar with clearer automaker ties - cars like the new Chevrolet SS racer shown above. Learn more about the fight for a closer-to-production look in the ESPN story at the link.
Now, if we could just get more rear-wheel drive V8 coupes into showrooms....

PickupTrucks.com's latest test results in a familiar winner [w/video]

Wed, 19 Jun 2013

PickupTrucks.com has gone and thrown the latest batch of half-ton pickups into a cage match to see who would come out on top. The site put the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, GMC Sierra 1500, 2013 Ford F-150, Ram 1500, Toyota Tundra and Nissan Titan through a battery of tests. Those included 0-60 miles per hour acceleration, 60-0 mph deceleration, fuel economy, a hill climb, and payload and towing. They even threw the rigs on an autocross course to evaluate overall handling. Each truck was given points based on how it scored in each evaluation.
Who came out on top? Somewhat surprisingly, the 2013 Ford F-150 walked away with the gold, though fewer than 50 points separated first and fourth place. Head over to PickupTrucks.com to read the full evaluation and the final results. You may be shocked to see exactly where some of the segment's newest additions placed. You can also watch a video on the test below.

Official USPS Muscle Cars stamps coming to a mailbox near you

Thu, 21 Feb 2013

As much as our digital lives have cut down on our trips to the post office, there are still times that sending "snail mail" is necessary. With us car lovers in mind and philately in their hearts, the good folks at the United States Postal Service will introduce a new stamp design called "Muscle Cars" starting on February 22.
Designed by artist Tom Fritz, the new collection of stamps consist of five classic muscle cars: 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona, 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1966 Pontiac GTO and 1970 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda. In addition to just the stamps, the USPS is also commemorating the new series with plenty of collectable memorabilia. Previous car-related stamps include 50s Sporty Cars from 2005 and 50s Fins and Chrome from 2008.
