This auction is for a 1970 Chevelle Malibu Coupe. A VERY ambitious buildable project or an excellent parts donor. No motor or trans. Not an SS. I will list the good and the bad.

The Good:

Nice original Super Sport Cowl Hood (not an induction hood).

Good radiator support.

Good Grille.

Head light components.

Drivers side new fender.

Repairable passenger fender.

Decent passenger door.

All glass intact and useable.

Bucket seats.

Super Sport dash cluster, lights not guages but has a clock.

Used disc brake components.

New trunk pan (just resting in place).

2 new replacement quarter panels. Passenger side is a full quarter and drivers side actually goes to the roof sail panel and a portion of the trunk lip.

12 Bolt Posi Traction rear end (3:42 ratio).

New in the box SS pad for rear bumper.

New 454 and SS badges for fenders.

Nice used trunk lid and lower rear valence included but not on the car.

SS steering box on the car.
Many other good useable parts
The Bad:

Floors are shot, quarters on the car are shot, frame has rot hole issues up front. Can be saved. Original trunk pan rotted out, inner fenders gone and bumpers good just for cores. Please call for details.

If you build these Chevelles then you know what the parts are worth. Yes the car is repairable but I would suggest using the car for parts on a better shell. Have a good clean Canadian title also. If you need more information or pics, please feel free to call or email us at 1-207-324-5568 Days or 1-207-432-2862 Eves and Sundays. Please do not bid if you can not follow through with the sale. We take our auctions serious and want you to do the same. If you have under 10 feed back please call before you place a bid so we know your intentions are true. Why Cadillac thinks it needs to succeed in Europe to sell cars elsewhere

Tue, 26 Feb 2013

Ward's Auto has taken an interesting look at the renewed focus General Motors is showing towards Cadillac in Europe. Susan Docherty, president and managing director of Chevrolet and Cadillac in Europe (pictured), says in order for the luxury brand to thrive in China, it first needs to succeed in the old country. The reason? Chinese buyers look to Europe for cues as to what's deemed worthy of the term "luxury." There are hurdles to the plan, however. In addition to the fact that the EU is flooded with high-end nameplates, GM doesn't necessarily have the distribution network in place to put buyers behind the wheel.
Combine that with persistent economic woes and Cadillac's checkered past marred by a lack of diesel engine options and a bankrupt distributor, and the road ahead for the brand looks like less of an uphill climb and more like a straight-up cliff face. But Docherty is optimistic and says she has a plan for the brand. We recommend heading over to Ward's for a closer look at the full read.

There once was a time when Daewoo was one of the biggest companies in South Korea. It was larger than both LG and Samsung, and second only to Hyundai. But these days the name is all but gone.

Chevy monitors drivers' biometrics while experiencing new Corvette Stingray

Fri, 25 Oct 2013

We tell you about what a car is like to drive every day, remarking on throttle response, steering weight and feedback, squat, dive, brake fade and a dozen or more other factors of performance. What we can't tell you, though, is what the car does to us - how its performance impacts us, physically. That's what makes this video series from Chevrolet so darn cool.
The Bow-Tie brand rented out Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch, got several (very) different individuals together, strapped a bunch of sensors to their bodies to record biometric data ranging from heart rate to respiration to brain activity, and then handed them keys to the new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The results are explained in a series of videos, devoted to each driver, showing how different people react to the Corvette's performance.
If, like your author, you're a nerd for medical science, this is going to be a fascinating set of videos. If not, it's still pretty cool to see how the body of someone with racing experience, like Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi, reacts to tracking a car like the Corvette Stingray compared to the owner of legendary Detroit barbecue joint, Slows BBQ. Take a look below for all six videos from the series, or hop over to the Corvette Vimeo channel for the interactive experience, where you can see all the different metrics.
