2003 Chevrolet Impala Base Sedan 4-door 3.4l on 2040-cars
Waynesville, Georgia, United States
I am selling my Chevrolet Impala. It is a good running car but has some cosmetic issues. The car has approx 222,000 miles on it. The motor has been replaced at around 152,000 miles. The head gaskets have been replaced probably less than 2-3,000 miles ago. It also has new spark plugs and plug wires (the plugs were replaced with the heads and the new wires were replaced a month or so later). Some of the cosmetic damage is listed above. I can't get the pictures to upload, so if you would like any please let me know, I can email them to you. This car was purchased brand new in 2003, by my dad, and then signed over to me. I'm the only one who has ever driven it. I say that because I'm not technically the "only owner" as far as the title goes. I guess this is just a base model. The driver seat is powered, but it's stuck all the way back. You can hear the motor when you mash the button, but the seat won't move. The car has key less entry, I only have one set of keys and the remote. The trunk won't pop open with the remote or the button inside the vehicle, but of course the key will open it. This car has been smoked in, but not in a long while. If you have any questions please ask. This car will have to be picked up locally and cash payment made at time of pick up. The title will be given to you that day. I don't have a tag on it either, so I don't know how that works.
On Jul-21-14 at 14:17:52 PDT, seller added the following information: I forgot to add that the brake light is on, on the display on the dash. The brake fluid is full and the brakes work. I think it is just a censor, I haven't replaced that. And the catalytic converter has been removed and just a pipe welded back on. I do have a new catalytic converter that I will include with the car. I paid about $250 for it. I found someone to weld it on but they told me it wasn't worth it, so I opted not to. |

Next-gen GM SUVs caught wearing new boxy bodies [w/video]
Wed, 15 May 2013We recently drove the brand-new 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and found it to be vastly improved compared to the outgoing model. And now that The General's pickup trucks have been squared away, it's time to focus our attention onto their passenger-friendly companions, the Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon (above).
Our spy photographers have passed along a huge smattering of photos (and a video), showing the new SUVs out testing. Both the short- and long-wheelbase models were spied, and while the overall shape of the vehicles hasn't changed all that much, we expect the updates to be substantial. In addition to new powertrain options, like GM's new small-block V8, we expect the interiors of both SUVs to get massive makeovers, providing better materials throughout their cabins and quieter, more refined environments. We even hear that some trick new suspension developments may be in store for upper-end models.
Visually, these spy shots allow us to see a couple of new details on the SUVs' front and rear fascias, including LED running lamps on the Yukon and some interesting LED taillamp treatments. Of course, the obvious third party missing from this set of photos is the Cadillac Escalade, but as we reported earlier, GM is working to further differentiate the 'Slade from the rest of the fullsize SUV lineup, and is working to make the new model "much less ostentatious."
Chevy Sonic shreds like a skateboard
Tue, 19 Mar 2013Despite the fact that the 2013 Chevy Sonic is a fun, plucky little thing - especially in ever-so-slightly hotter RS guise - it is not, in fact, a skateboard. But don't tell that to rapper Theophilus London.
In General Motors' latest spot for the Chevrolet compact, London needs to make a quick run to the store for some milk. And even though, once again, the Sonic is not a skateboard, it ollies, pops and gets air because, you know, it's just so much fun to throw around.
If this video looks familiar to you, it's because this is the full ad that we first got a preview of in Chevy's longer, full-line spot, where the brand's "Find New Roads" tagline was introduced. Scroll down to see this dedicated Sonic spot, along with the older ad, and remember, the Sonic is still - still - not a skateboard.
2014 Chevrolet C7 Corvette wastes no time zooming into Jay Leno's Garage
Thu, 24 Jan 2013Where else would you expect the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray to show up first? Although this time it isn't exactly in Jay Leno's Garage, Leno instead playing an away game at Brown's Classic Auto in Scottsdale, Arizona. Nor does Leno drive the car, instead taking an 11-minute walkaround of the new American sports car with General Motors design head Ed Welburn, the same man who recently brought by a string of classic Corvettes to the talk show host's California compound.
It is, admittedly, a love-fest for the American sports car now featuring 450 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque, but one that also features admissions about previous Corvette seats like "they were kinda rough," and the explanation that labeling the coupe "Stingray" means not having to call it "the base Corvette." On top of that, Welburn also explains the proper application of the term "dashboard." You can watch it all in the video below.
