I've had the car just over a 18 months now. Got Military orders to overseas so selling the car. Car resides in panhandle Florida but has spent all of its life in Tennessee. Haven't found any rust on the car. Vehicle has been repainted but is in great condition. Odometer shows 66,697 miles but the title shows the mileage as Exempt. Replaced Door actuators and window motors. Replaced Full Exhaust. BBK Ceramic shorty headers, Off road H pipe, Flow master mufflers and new tips. Pretty much a stock 21 year old car. I wish I could keep it and continue to work on it since these cars are starting to be rare. Car is not perfect show room. I will be forthcoming and list anything I can to have an honest sell. -passenger side door shut fine until I replaced the weather strip. Needs to be realigned. Shuts with alittle effort. -A/C components work but need to be recharged. Replaced a upper plenum seal and had to disconnect the A/C line. -small transmission leak from front seal. About one little drop a week. -previous owner had gauges installed above CD player, took gauges so the mounting hardware is ready for 3 new gauges. GM execs fired over fraudulent India emissions testing
Mon, 29 Jul 2013General Motors hadn't had a recall in India since 1995. That changed when it was discovered that certain employees were playing tricks with local emissions testing in order to ensure passing grades for engines. More than ten GM Powertrain employees in India and the US have been let go over the ensuing emissions flap, including Sam Winegarden, VP of global engine engineering, a man who has been with the company since 1969, leading development of some marquee powerplants.
According to Automotive News, an internal investigation revealed that employees "violated testing procedures," sometimes swapping specially prepared low-emissions engines during testing regimes for the Chevrolet Tavera SUV equipped with the 2.0-liter and 2.5-liter engines. Employees were also manipulating weights in order to get vehicles placed into different emissions categories. The discovery has led to GM recall the 114,000 Taveras produced over an eight-year period and halting their production and sale.
The Economic Times of India reports that the issue is due to "a faulty component." GM has developed a solution to the issue, and once it is validated in testing and approved by the Indian authorities, the recalled vehicles will be fixed at dealers and production will resume.

The Poncho is dead. Long live the Poncho. Like certain other reoccurring personal maladies, the aftermarket community simply can't let the Trans Am go without another flare up. The guys at Trans Am Depot have worked up a quick commercial for their newest creation: The 2013 Trans Am Hurst Edition, and it watches pretty much like you'd expect it to. The footage is comprised of just about every TA male fantasy you can conceive of, from Daisy Dukes and white tank tops to tramp stamps, bikinis and ice cream cones. There simply aren't words for what you'll see below.
Of course, we like our T-Tops as much as the next guy. If you like what you see in the videos, you can pick up your very own TA by heading over to the Trans Am Depot site. The guys even have Chevrolet Camaro-based versions of the Pontiac GTO if the '77 TA treatment is too much for your tastes. Enjoy, but don't say we didn't warn you.
