She was born in 1970 and was purchased new by a woman from a dealer in California and was off to its destination of Nampa Idaho. This car was ordered by her with the right options including the following . 454 Turbo -jet engine with 345 H.P Turbo 400 transmission , power steering and power Disc brakes, This car was always babied by her she changed the oil every 3 k miles and always maintained it when it needed service . I have most of all the service records from her ownership. She drove the car through the 70's and 80's into the early 90's and then it was parked and sat for 10 years until the car was finally offered for sale to the second owner who is 70 years old today . He was searching hard to find a big block car and found one word of mouth. When he flew to Idaho to see the car he knew immediately that this was the car for him. It was completely rust free and all original in every way. The trunk was original and looked like new and still till today it remains the same and looks like new. All the metal was original and no rust anywhere. The paint was a little faded and to him it was something he was anxious to tackle and bring this awesome Impala back to looking like she did when she was Born. He had the fenders ,hood and doors taken off the car. They were blocked and sanded and painted the Original Color which is Green Mist. The rear of the car was then painted and also the trunk was removed to make the car perfect and not have any edges or tape lines . Everything was removed and it was done right. it cost him nearly 4 k to paint the car and install new seals and the bumpers were removed and re chromed and look brand new. This car was painted 8 years ago and still to this day it looks amazing and shines like a show car. The Interior is all original and in show condition as well. The carpets are new, headliner, dash and he upgraded the original radio to a period correct looking radio but its digital when it turn on . I still have the Original dash and radio they come with the car. Inside the car everything works. Ice cold AC. hot heat, am /fm Cassette. All the seat belts are functional and in place. The seats are firm and look brand new, The windshield wipers work perfect as well as do all the dash lights and outside lights. Now for the Monster laying under the hood . Chevy made 14,280 454 LS 4 cars in 1970. out of those you would be lucky to find 10% still in existence . The 512 Engine notes it being a big block car and it was made in the Tonawanda plant .The engine is all original and never been rebuilt or detailed . I decided to leave it original to show its beautiful state. Its very easy to dress up the engine compartment . It still has the original carbs breathers etc. The only thing that isn't original is the alternator. The Original air cleaner is in excellent condition and still has the original stickers on it. I did purchase a new 454 sticker and it will come with the car. The power in this car is incredible. It has monster power and sounds very mean. Underneath the car you will find a complete new exhaust with flow master mufflers. It has a very nice growl. The under carriage is rust free and very solid. The frame is solid and was undercoated , Suspension is tight and brakes are like new. The tires have about 3000 miles on them and have plenty of tread left. The car sits on beautiful rally wheels that are pristine . I have the original wheels with tires still mounted on them and the center caps. I drove this car home from Alabama where I purchased it from the second owner. It was a awesome ride and 800 miles of pure enjoyment. Everywhere i stopped I was asked what year is the car. Is it original ? Is it really a 454 ? does it really have AC? and my answer was yes to all . This is a Original Numbers matching car , Documented 2 owners , Original window sticker , books service history ,and I even have the Original Title with the woman's name on it who was the First owner. This car is Truly Rare and will only go up in value . To find a 1970 impala 454 345 H.P car with original matching numbers Only 1 repaint and all original metal is RARE. I have had many classic cars and drove the best of them . But this one truly is special in the attention its gets from everyone. I think I am pricing this car very fair. There are a lot of impala's around but not many 454 big block car and this original someone will get an amazing car and be able to drive it and be proud to take it to shows. I can take more pictures if anyone requests them . Please call me with any questions you might have I will end the auction if I get a good offer . But click the buy it now I don't think you will find a better 70 impala out there. Steve 954-464-3515

GM recalling over 40,000 Chevy, Pontiac and Saturn models over fuel pump woes
Mon, 01 Oct 2012The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a recall for a number of General Motors cars and crossovers bought or currently registered in the hot-climate states of Arkansas, Arizona, California, Nevada, Oklahoma and Texas. As many as 40,859 units consisting of the 2007 Chevrolet Equinox, Pontiac Torrent and Saturn Ion and the 2007-2009 Chevrolet Cobalt (shown) and its Pontiac G5 twin are being recalled for potential fuel leaks.
This recall is being issued due to potentially faulty fuel pump components that can crack and cause gasoline to leak from the return or supply ports and possibly cause a fire. NHTSA has not indicated how many fuel leaks or vehicle fires have been reported. As a fix, GM will replace the fuel pump modules on all affected vehicles free of charge. Since Pontiac and Saturn have been shuttered, owners will be able to go to another GM-brand dealership to have their vehicles repaired.
While the list of affected cars and crossovers varies by state and model year, if you own any of these models and live in Arizona, California, Florida, Nevada, Oklahoma or Texas, be sure to check the official notice below for more details.
UAW to vote on strike at Kentucky Corvette plant
Tue, 08 Apr 2014The current wait time for a new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is well, not short. With word of a strike at the Bowling Green, KY factory responsible for seventh-generation sports car, though, that wait time could end up growing substantially.
Now, a strike is still a ways off. UAW Local 2164, which represents the 800 workers responsible for screwing the Corvette together, is set to vote on authorizing a strike today, but even if the employees give the action a go, it's far from a sure thing. According to The Tennessean, both regional and national union officials would need to put their stamp of approval on strike action.
"The membership has to vote to strike, but it's just a step in the process," said Gary Casteel, the UAW's Region 8 director and one of the people that would need to authorize a strike action. Casteel told The Tennessean, "It's purely a local situation, though. They are having some issues with the local management."
Survey says $25k barrier is a problem for EVs
Sun, 01 Dec 2013
The majority of consumers are more or less priced out of the market.
Electric cars are gaining popularity with the general public, but are they still too expensive? According to a survey 1,084 consumers by Navigant Research, a consulting firm located in Boulder, CO, 71 percent want their next car to cost under $25,000, while 41 percent won't go a cent above $20K. Looks like people are even thriftier than we'd originally thought.
