This auction is for a 1966 Impala Sport Coupe Pro Touring project. I bought this car from the origional owner in illinois. It still had the emblem on the trunk from the Chevy dealer in Auroroa where Mildred bought it. I have put as much blood, sweat, and cash into this thing as i am going to put. I have the clear title, and a laundry list of things that have been done, it just needs to be finished. So here is where my $30,000 i have into this thing went:

16K is body work done - New Quarters, New Tunk Pan, New Wheel Wells, New Rear inner and Outer Wells, Origional Fenders Rust Free, Origional Biscayne Hood Rust Free (didn't want the chrome spear), All Side Trim Holes FIlled, Mounted l76 LS2, Installed C4 Corvette independant rear suspension with the bulletproof Dana 44 out of a low mileage manual Car. Floors and clean and perfect. This thing has benn prepped for paint, so minimal cost to you at the paint booth. Shaved firewall and dash pad holes filled and smothed. Ready to paint!

Drivetrain - L76 LS2 and 6L80E 6 speed automatic transmission from a 2009 G8 GT. This car was 1 year old with 9K miles on it when i bought the package. I bought it from ebay and had it crated to my house June of 2010. The only thing i added to the engine is a low profile oil pan from Holley so the engine sits lower and you can add on engine covers, or supercharger or whatever you want. Includes MAF and ECM and electronic gas pedal also partial drive shaft. Corvette Rear Suspension from the manual C4 corvette so it has the Dana 44. Full independant rear from a low mileage car. I am including the origional rear end just in case. You can't find these Dana 44 rear ends any less than 2K... I have new Bilstien Shocks in the box and Doug Rippie springs. Rear end is setup to handle some 325/25 R 20's had planned. KORE3 designed a Big Brake package for this car specifically.

Suspension - It has a full global west coil over front suspension with Sway bars. All it will need is to be finished along with the frame, just add powdercoat and be done!

Included also are origional trim, All Glass, it had a vinyl top and the trim holes are filled but trim is included, interior components, most interior is gone as it was to be custom built by Upholstery Unlimitied in Iowa. Core Support is origional and rust free, wheel wells are aftermarket and brand new, Origional rust free hood hinges. I'm pretty sure every nut and bolt is seperated and in jars labeld for reassembly.

The LS engine swap is the most popular swap because this thing has over 400h and you can get 20+ miles to the gallon. THere are tons of parts available for this car from any catalog, believe me, you will find everything! I have way too many origional things to list here that go with it. Took it in the shorts on that too so my loss is your gain. I can part this out for more than my serserve price but i don't have the time. I will try to post more pictures but the car is stored and this is all i have for now. The Reserve is low!!!!!!!! I require a $500 deposite within two days of auction end, done through paypal. Payment must be made through paypal or cash in person. No nickel and diming, if you can't afford it, don't bid and waste my time. Please NO bidders with a zero feedback rating unless you email me. I will remove your bid otherwise. Thank you and Happy Bidding!

I will work with your shipping carrier but sorry, i will not setup any form of shipping, this is on you! I wil  ship internation if requested....

Final C6 Corvette built in Bowling Green

Fri, 01 Mar 2013

With all of the attention given to the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray lately, you could be forgiven for thinking that it's already well along in production, yet tooling up for the new C7 has only just begun. In fact, production of the outgoing C6 generation in Bowling Green, Kentucky just halted on Thursday.
As the C6 has aged, production numbers have predictably ebbed along with demand, but this year, the addition of the 427 and 60th anniversary models resulted in an uptick in vehicles built - this, despite a model year shortened by around 25 percent to accomodate the new model changeover. The final C6 Corvette ever, No. 13,466 built this year, was a white 427 Convertible destined for the General Motors Heritage Center museum. The car's 7.0-liter V8 heart was assembled by Corvette chief engineer Tadge Juechter himself.
In total, Bowling Green pushed out 215,100 C6 Corvettes over nine years. If you're still a C6 fan at heart and are hoping to get a good deal on a phase-out model, step lively - Chevrolet reportedly had about 6,100 unsold units, which Autoweek suggests is good for around five and a half months of supply at the model's current sales rates. Given that demand will likely slacken even further as the C7 draws closer, that should be a big enough stockpile to keep dealers satisfied until 2014 Stingrays begin showing up on their forecourts in December.

This is your 2014 Chevrolet SS

Sat, 16 Feb 2013

Think you've waited long enough for this? If so, then you'll want to savor the high-res photos we've so far been given of the 2014 Chevrolet SS, the first rear-wheel-drive performance sedan from The Bowtie in 17 years.
We all know its our version of the brand new VF-model Holden Commodore, but what's under the hood that earns the appellation "performance?" A 6.2-liter LS3 V8 engine producing 415 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque. That's 35 hp and lb-ft less than the same engine is expected to produce in the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette. Chevrolet says the sedan will get from 0-to-60 miles per hour "in about five seconds."
Shifting comes courtesy of a six-speed automatic with paddles on the steering wheel, while stopping arrive via four-piston Brembo calipers up front, a single sliding piston in back. The forged aluminum wheels are 19-inchers all around, each set supporting right around 50 percent of the sedan's weight, and the aluminum hood and trunk are meant to keep the center of gravity low.

Hot Wheels' Twitter-enabled vending machine coughs up free Camaro diecasts

Wed, 27 Feb 2013

There are still plenty of companies that haven't gotten the whole social media thing down pat yet, but Hot Wheels isn't one of them. During the recent Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto, Hot Wheels created a lot of buzz for itself by using a vending machine filled with Chevrolet Camaro models, but instead of money to get the cars, show attendees just had to use Twitter.
To get the free car, people were asked to send a tweet to Hot Wheels Canada saying what they liked about the new Hot Wheels Edition Camaro, and including the #ChevyCIAS hashtag. This seemed to be a popular marketing tool, too, as AdWeek reports that the @HotWheelsCanada account more than tripled in followers during the course of the 10-day show. Looking ahead, this could open up even more innovative marketing possibilities using social media.
Check out the video posted below to watch how it works, and while the auto show has ended and the free-car giveaway has too, we're almost certain that some of the 1,500 freebies will make their way onto eBay.
