This is a TRUE SS 396 car without the original motor. It was replaced with a Fresh Built ( pictures are dusty cause the car has been sitting for 6 months) 383 Stroker - but the motor is FRESH and had fired recently.

NOTE - I WILL SWAP THE MOTOR FOR A BRAND NEW 454 MOTOR WITH ALUMINUM HEADS, MSD IGNITION, HOLLEY 750CFM 4 BARREL CARBURETOR, AND MANIFOLD - THIS IS A READY TO FIRE - $7500.00 BUILT MOTOR STILL IN THE WRAPPING FROM THE ENGINE BUILDER. COST FOR THE CAR WITH THE 454 BRAND NEW MOTOR INSTEAD OF THE 383 STROKER MOTOR IS $13,000 - . Call me at 949-637-2665 with any questions or offers - yeah its an OC # but the car is in my warehouse in mesa - i split time between Az and Ca.

The body work is 80% done - and primed - there really isnt much left to do - its very straight. This is a big body car - coolest lines from the 60s for sure . Big panels - huge hood, big trunk, and the large roof are all straight.

The interior is a shit show but who cares - its all catalog ordering from here - the seats are there. Order new seat vinyl skins, door panels, carpet kit, headliner, dash and dash pad from classic industries and be done with the inside for $1200.00.

the suspension is fine, is been lowered to just the right mean stance. underside is good, youll need to hunt down some chrome pieces, glass, and paint and some other things but this is a great project car for a guy who wants a sick muscle car with a wicked stance. This is a father son project that could actually be completed. The wheels have been dinged up and can be fixed but i would replace them - so many great deals on used wheels out there.

I have so many project cars right now - I have to let some go. I really wanted to build this one for myself - The body is so good it was going to be deep black, black interior, Black deep lip wheels, with red ring tires... looking mean, sounding loud, and going fast. Seriously - you can finish this car for another 6K-9K and some work and be sitting on a $37K - $45K resto mod Impala - not a lot of them out there, but when they are done right they bring the money. Call me at 949-673-2665  - I have clean title in hand - non Salvage -.

Pure Vision Design TT Camaro has 1,400 reasons to want it

    Wed, 06 Nov 2013

We've talked about Pure Vision Design before, a California-based company that made waves at last year's SEMA show with its Martini-liveried, Indy-car-powered Ford Mustang. That same car later starred in a Petrolicious video we showed you just a few weeks back. The company's latest creation is a menacing car it calls the Pure Vision Design TT Camaro. Based on a 1972 model, this car shares the Martini Mustang's clean styling and obsession with details.
Unlike the Mustang, which draws its power from a mid-60s Lotus-Ford Indycar engine, the "TT" in this Camaro's name implies something far more potent. The Nelson Racing Engines 427-cubic-inch V8 has been fitted with a pair of turbochargers, with a claimed output of 1,400 horsepower. That's almost 1,000 more than the Martini Mustang.
A six-speed Magnum transmission dispatches that power to the ground, while Pirelli PZero tires are tasked with (somehow) trying to grip the road. Baer brakes hide behind those HRE rims, while JRI coilovers and HyperTech springs bless the Camaro with some degree of competency in the bends.

Artist imagines eerie world where cars have no wheels

    Thu, 24 Jan 2013

The wheel ranks right up there with the telescope and four-slice toaster in the pantheon of inventions that have moved humankind forward. But what if a circle in three dimensions had never occurred to anyone, and we all had just moved on without it? Perhaps we'd be driving around in Lucas Motors Landspeeders with anti-gravity engines. Or maybe we'd have the same cars we do today, just without wheels.
That's the thought experiment that seems to have led French photographer Renaud Marion to create his six-image series called Air Drive. The shots depict cars throughout many eras of motoring that look normal except for one thing: they have no wheels. The models used include a Jaguar XK120, Cadillac DeVille (shown above), Chevrolet El Camino and Camaro, and Mercedes-Benz SL and 300 roadsters.
Perhaps one day when our future becomes our past, you'll be able to walk the street and see with your own eyes the rust and patina of age on our nation's fleet of floating cars. Until then, Monsieur Marion's photographs will have to do.

Watch how Corvette Racing's new collision-avoidance radar system works

    Fri, 22 Mar 2013

When it comes to technology used in racecars, we generally expect it to trickle down to production cars, not the other way around. Well, Pratt & Miller has developed a new rear-facing radar that operates in a similar fashion to what we're used to in modern blind spot detection systems, only it is also capable of tracking cars as they approach and relaying vital information to the driver via a large display screen.
The innovative radar system debuted at last weekend's 12 Hours of Sebring for Corvette Racing, and this system makes perfect sense for endurance races like this since the cars sometimes have to drive through the night and in poor weather conditions.
The radar can detect cars even with poor visibility, and uses easy-to-distinguish symbols for the driver to identify.
