Check out this solid 1964 Chevrolet Impala Sport Coupe!! This was my Neighbors car that he was going to restore, however time and another project has taken over. This is a original 64 Impala and is very solid and straight. It is a Unmolested ride and all its trim is there and in good condition (i.e Bumpers, Body Molding and Interoir Trim) . The body is straight and solid with the only exception and dent right above left rear roof peller. It will be easy to fix. The frame is soild and rust free (just surface rust from setting). No frame damage. The interior is all there and original with the trim, however will need and complete redo, but it is all there. It is a column automatic. Dash is all stock and in good shape. The engine is the original 283 V8 and is #'s Matching!!! It did run when it was parked and is free and does turn over. Will need a good tune up and service. The only thing missing is the rear window. It got broke when it was being moved. The rest of the glass is fine. I even have the original owners manuals and books. The mileage on the car is showing 91783 and we believe that to be the original miles, however we are selling it as TMU do to the age. We feel this car will make someone a great car to turn into a WEST COAST LOW RIDER or turn into ONE KOOL CUSTOM, due to it being a southern straight, Unmolested and solid ride. I know these are the cars custom shops on the West Coast are looking for since they will probably be totally torn down and customized. I Hope i see this one on the cover of a magazine. Any inspections are welcomed. Plus if you have any questions please e-mail general.imports.salem@gmail.com or give us a ring today. Thanks for viewing our inventory and GOOD LUCK BIDDING!!!!!!!

Steve McQueen's last movie car, now Pawn Stars-owned, up for auction [w/video]
Sun, 03 Feb 2013The last car Steve McQueen ever drove in a movie is officially up for auction. The 1951 Chevrolet Styline DeLuxe Convertible you see above is now owned by none other than Rick Harrison of Pawn Stars fame, but once ferried McQueen around the set of his last film, 1980's The Hunter. That flick saw the Bullit star play a bumbling bounty hunter and didn't exactly set the box office on fire. McQueen bought the car after production wrapped, and four years later it sold at his estate sale at the Imperial Palace in Las Vegas.
Flash forward to 2003, and the convertible received a full restoration back to near-stock specifications. Hagerty Insurance estimates the car to be worth around $45,000 without the significant providence. Given its ties to one of film's most popular gearheads, the old Chevrolet could fetch up to 10 times that when it goes under the gavel in Ft Luaderdale, Florida on March 22. You can head over to the Auctions America site for more information. You can also check out the trailer for The Hunter below.
C7 Corvette makes inaugural ad appearance in Chevy's first spot with new slogan
Mon, 11 Feb 2013Chevrolet's "Runs Deep" tagline has finally been run into the ground, replaced with the Bowtie brand's "Find New Roads" slogan that's part of parent General Motors' plan to unify its everyday brand's marketing efforts worldwide. The new Chevrolet campaign was ushered in on prime time last night during the Grammy Awards on CBS, and the first spot, a 90-second full-line ad, also marks the first appearance of the 2014 Corvette Stingray in a commercial.
Being a full-line ad, the commercial is composed of vignettes centered on different vehicles in the brand's lineup. The all-new 2014 Impala also makes its first commercial appearance in dapper fashion, and time is spent on a skateboarding Sonic and a bouquet of brightly colored Spark hatchbacks driven by fashionable women. The ad starts and ends with Chevy's green halo car, the Volt, along with a young girl with her robotic dog (yes, really).
Chevrolet's "Runs Deep" campaign got off to a rocky start in the fall of 2010, but it did last for a couple of years with some tweaks. This new one, "Find New Roads" seems more intent on drawing new customers into the fold than the outgoing tagline, which seemed to play more toward the brand faithful. It admittedly reminds us more than a little the short-lived "Find Your Own Road" Saab motto (which, we note, was conceived while the Swedish brand was under GM's control), but no matter, we still think it's got more long-term potential than "Runs Deep."
Man surprises girlfriend with C7 Corvette
Mon, 07 Oct 2013How would you react if someone just showed up at your place of work with a new, 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, complete with all the trimmings? While a lot of us would likely be flipping out over the still rare sports car, it's a fair bet many more of us would be responding like Pattie here, whose boyfriend stopped by her work to show her her new C7.
Speechless and shocked as she seems, she does end up taking it out for a drive, despite claiming she wasn't really outfitted to handle the car's seven-speed manual transmission at the time. From the sound of the video, we got the impression that she knew the car was coming, just not that it was anywhere near ready for delivery. It also, as Pattie says, seems like her boyfriend is more excited about the car than she (which, can we blame him?). Take a look down below for the full video of this C7 Stingray delivery.
