This vehicle has served wonderfully. There has never been a mechanical problem. It is a 2009 HHR with a 2.2 EcoTech motot (one of the most reliable motors ever). It gets great gas mileage and has all power accessories. This tires are good and should pass inspection. They are GoodYear and all 4 match.

It has been equipped with a Woody "surf-wagon" styling kit and custom white wheels that match the custom white old-school style Chevrolet grill and white trim. It was originally a rental car for a local dealership, before my former company purchased it to transport our equipment. You can rest assured that fleet vehicles like this get maintained as needed (because it is always done at the expense of someone else :-) It has received all maintenance as required. We never had any mechanical trouble from the vehicle. We already had the local dealership take care of the ignition switch recall, so you do not have to worry about this.

It could use a coat of paint to cover up where some of the old company advertisements were removed along with a ladder rack on the roof. Maaco is currently offering a $299 paint special, so you can have this vehicle looking sharp at little cost.

At just over 80 thousand miles, this vehicle is ready to provide you with another hundred thousand more trouble free miles. We did replace the catalytic converter to make sure it passes emissions, so this is something you will not have to worry about.

The interior is in great condition. The seats lay flat to make a cargo area, as shown in the photos. It seats five people and has car-seat clips. This is a very safe car with side curtain air bags.

If you want this as a family car or a work truck, this vehicle will work for you. It has been well maintained and is ready to make the next owner proud. Please contact me with any questions!

To weed out scams, we require a deposit when using Buy-It-Now. This has been a problem for us in the past. Deposits are non refundable. I hope you understand. Thanks!

Thanks!

GM dealers unhappy about pickup prices

Mon, 21 Oct 2013

The backlash is beginning. Following General Motors' price hike of the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra last week, dealers across the country are expressing their ire over increasing prices in the face of rebates and discounts on trucks from Ford and Ram.
Speaking to Automotive News, Sam Pilato, the general manager at Dimmitt Chevrolet in Clearwater, FL, Silverados are "selling very poorly." W. Carrol Smith, the president of Monument Chevrolet in the heart of truck country, Texas, said, "[GM's] position is that the vehicle stands on its own and it doesn't need a bigger rebate. That's not what the market is telling us."
According to AN, that's the general attitude amongst Chevy and GMC dealers across the country, where the twin pickups are getting butchered in sales by competitors offering up to $9,000 off their sticker prices. Part of the problem for GM is that its trucks are arriving on the market near the end of the current F-150's lifecycle, a fact that Ford has taken advantage of.

2014 Chevrolet Silverado tows in new configurator, microsite

Mon, 21 Jan 2013

Judging by your continued enthusiastic response to configurator notices, dear reader, you enjoy speccing out new cars as much as we do. Better still, there tends to be even more ways to personalize, configure and bloat theoretical MSRPs on full-size trucks as there are with more ordinary passenger cars. In addition to trim level, engine and transmission choices, truck buyers usually have to specify items like cab configuration, bed length, number of driven axles, tow packages, gear ratios and all sorts of bits and bobs.
That's why we're pleased to see the DIY specification utility for the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado come alive so soon after this week's Detroit Auto Show debut. While the configurator lacks pricing (General Motors hasn't announced numbers yet) and full options, you can still spec out your half-ton rig, and even print it out or email it to your friends. Beyond the configurator, the new model-specific site is pretty cool, too, with various videos and closer looks at the truck's new features.
The new Chevrolet pickup range won't be on dealer lots until sometime this summer, so whether you're a building contractor, an avid sportsman or just a guy or gal that loves full-size trucks, you might want to check out the link below to keep your appetite whetted. If you're more of a Sierra fan, well, it looks like you're going to have to wait a while - GMC hasn't updated its site yet.

Corvette Stingray Shooting Brake under consideration by Callaway [w/poll]

Mon, 18 Mar 2013

Callaway has released a few renderings of a design study for a shooting brake version of the C7 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The company says it wants to create a long-roof version of America's sports car to offer buyers more interior room and a vehicle with "unique style." The company says it will use structural carbon fiber for the new body bits, which suggests the conversion shouldn't add too much more weight to the Corvette. Along with a few mechanical tweaks, the Callaway Corvette Stingray AeroWagon could breeze past the 200 miles per hour barrier.
Provided that they get enough interest, Callaway estimates they will be able to effect the changes on the Chevrolet for around $15,000, and says the conversion work should be available through its network of dealers. You can check out the brief press release below for more information, or head over to the Callaway site to plunk down a deposit - but before you do, we want to know... do you find this C7 wagon interesting? Vote in our poll below, then feel free to leave a few lines in Comments.
