I have owned this El Camino for almost 20 years. I am the second owner. It used to be my daily driver, it has not been used in the last 8 years. I placed a Non op with DMV. Prior to being parked it got brand new Dunlop tires, they still look new. not all cracked up. It has only 68,000 original miles all original under the hood, even passed smog the last time I needed, no problem.

I used to start it every couple months and move it around, but the last time I tried the battery was dead. It will need a new one. The passenger window is 1/3 down and needs a motor or regulator, the interior door panels and head iner have been pulled off, but I have all the panels and trim. Seats are original factory buckets and in great condition, it has full factory gauges and a $300. billet steering wheel plus a nice stereo and speakers. wheels are off a Camaro z28 and hand polished,

When I was driving it, I put new brakes and shocks (gas in front, adjustable AIR in the back) custom exhaust, tinted windows, rhino liner in the bed. The tail gate has a dent and is currently off. ( I used to drive it that way) it gets great fuel mpg for a v-8 and has great power.

I replaced the tranny with a T350 to upgrade and get rid of the stock pos

It needs a good home, it has been parked outside for the last 5 years and now shows some signs of sun baked. Still can be a great collectible driver or custom project.

I will guarantee it runs with a money back guarantee, but it is sold as is! you come pick it up. it will need some tlc, the fuel is bad, needs a battery and also a battery for the alarm system / remote.

2014 Chevrolet Corvette C7 Convertible offers a few more views before reveal

Mon, 04 Mar 2013

Over the weekend, Chevrolet released its first images of the new 2014 Corvette Stingray Convertible. Now, ahead of the droptop's official introduction tomorrow at the Geneva Motor Show, the automaker has given us a few more shots of the softop C7 showing off the car's rump albeit from a high, strategically positioned angle.
From this angle, it's hard to get a sense for how long and flat the decklid really is, but we can easily see that, like the rest of the C7's design, the new convertible's decklid and tonneau cover are far more detailed than the current car. We also get a better look at the rear haunches sans brake vents, which have apparently been moved to underneath the car in order to accommodate the top's hard cover.
As for the overall styling of the C7 convertible, with the top erected, we get some idea of what a coupe design (as opposed to the Stingray's fastback shape) would look like on this car. The C5 Corvette most recently had a coupe model that did away with the large glass hatchback, and we recently reported on a low-cost "coupe" model potentially being added to the C7's repertoire.

Steve McQueen's last movie car, now Pawn Stars-owned, up for auction [w/video]

Sun, 03 Feb 2013

The last car Steve McQueen ever drove in a movie is officially up for auction. The 1951 Chevrolet Styline DeLuxe Convertible you see above is now owned by none other than Rick Harrison of Pawn Stars fame, but once ferried McQueen around the set of his last film, 1980's The Hunter. That flick saw the Bullit star play a bumbling bounty hunter and didn't exactly set the box office on fire. McQueen bought the car after production wrapped, and four years later it sold at his estate sale at the Imperial Palace in Las Vegas.
Flash forward to 2003, and the convertible received a full restoration back to near-stock specifications. Hagerty Insurance estimates the car to be worth around $45,000 without the significant providence. Given its ties to one of film's most popular gearheads, the old Chevrolet could fetch up to 10 times that when it goes under the gavel in Ft Luaderdale, Florida on March 22. You can head over to the Auctions America site for more information. You can also check out the trailer for The Hunter below.

2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible gives us a couple of looks

Sat, 02 Mar 2013

Put away your pixel paintbrushes, kids. Pack up your Photoshop. This is the real-deal 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible in its first official images. The droptop Chevrolet will roll into the bright lights of the Palexpo exhibition at next week's Geneva Motor Show, a four-wheeled statement of intent that General Motors is serious about taking its Corvette franchise global.
Chevy isn't providing anything in the way of further details with these two shots, but we've learned at least a couple of things about the car shown here. First off, the example seen in these images is fitted with the optional Z51 Performance Package - something that isn't immediately evident because there's no sign of the coupe model's prominent ductwork on its rear haunches. In order to accommodate the power folding hard tonneau cover, the vents that feed the transmission and differential coolers have been relocated to the underside of the car. The dark paint color on this example also does a good job of muting the contrasting black front fender vents and hood opening - Z51-spec design details that have proven to be somewhat controversial.
One other thing to note: These two shots also display the Stingray wearing different alloy wheels than the split five-spoke design shown at the hardtop's Detroit Auto Show unveiling in January. The simpler, thin five-spoke wheels should do a good job of showing off the Z51's upgraded brakes, and they'll be optional on the coupe as well.
