Here is a 1987 chevy El Camino. I purchased this car to restore ,I made it clear to the buyer that all i cared about was a good frame , I crawled around the car in the snow and checked it as best as possible. The previous owner put a brand new gas tank, fuel pump fuel lines alternator and starter on the car as well as a brand new never even on the road exhaust system which still has the tags on it. I figured that if the owner did all of this work the frame is most likely good. I put the car on the lift and low and behold the transmission cross member ends were rotted. At this point i have no desire to repair the cross member and its mounts. The car has alot of good parts  including a decent interior, very nice dash, nice trim, good back glass, rust free bed, tailgate has some surface rust but no rot but does have a dent in it. it has power windows decent door panels air conditioning, im told the engine runs but did not go into it once i saw the frame, The radiator support is rotted and the brakes need a complete rebuild. i Believe they are factory wheels which are in good condition. the bottom of the doors are rusted. I want to make it very clear that this car needs work and thats why im selling it at a cheap price. if someone wanted to put the time and effort im sure it could be restored but its not for me. i have a clear title, the car has not been on the road since the 90s. the car will have to be towed from Blairstown New Jersey. If you are thinking of purchasing it and paying 700.00 for it and expecting to get a 3000.00 car please keep looking. Thanks

Indian tuner turns Chevy Optra into Mustang 'Eleanor' replica

Fri, 03 Aug 2012

If you are a big fan of automotive oddities, this may come as a little treat. If you are a Shelby or Mustang diehard, prepare to have your sensibilities violated.
The master fabricators at BigDaddyCustoms are the minds behind what you see above. At first, it appears to be a slightly misshapen custom Mustang, modeled after "Eleanor" from Gone In 60 Seconds, but upon further examination, something appears to be amiss. In fact, the custom shop, based in India, has created an Eleanor replica grafted upon a lowly Chevrolet Optra. While it may take a second for the Optra to ring a bell, you should recognize its badge-engineered sibling, the Daewoo Lacetti, used on Top Gear.
We don't know what star would opt for the Reasonably Priced Car in Shelby's clothing, but it's clearly someone more concerned with the aesthetic than the performance credentials of this automotive mash-up.

Chevy rolls out Silverado HD High Country

Wed, 09 Apr 2014

It's been a good week for heavy-duty truck buyers. First, Ram revealed the Black Package for its HD trucks, then it rolled out its new Power Wagon, and now Chevy's getting in on the action with its Silverado High Country HD. Okay, so it may not pack quite the attitude of Ram's latest 2500-series offerings, but the High Country HD will come as a welcome addition to the Chevy Trucks range to those looking to pull their horse, boat or other trailer without skimping on creature comforts.
Rolled out a little under a year ago, the High Country trim is Chevy's answer to the likes of the GMC Denali, Ford King Ranch and Ram Longhorn. It has until now only been offered on the light duty, 1500-series Silverado, but now extends to the 2500 and 3500-series HD models, as well.
So what sets a High Country pickup apart from lesser Chevy trucks? You'll be able to pick it out based on its chrome horizontal grille, body-color bumpers, 6-inch tubular side steps, 20-inch chrome wheels (18-inch on the 3500 and 17-inch on the dualie) and, of course, plenty of special badging. But it's inside where the High Country makes its mark, with a cabin decked out in saddle brown perforated leather, seats that are both heated and cooled, eight-inch touchscreen with full MyLink suite, Bose audio and park assist functions front and rear to keep those color-keyed bumpers looking fresh. (Though Chevy hasn't yet showed us the interior of the HD model, it'll presumably look mostly the same as the cab in the 1500 High Country in the gallery below.)

2014 Chevrolet SS makes its live debut

Sat, 16 Feb 2013

Chevrolet showed off the new 2014 SS in an airport hangar last night, its first rear-wheel-drive performance sedan in the US since the Impala SS from 1997. We'll have more to say about the SS later today, but this is the sedan that Chevrolet sees as the final piece in restoring its performance credentials. For those of you looking for a manual transmission, however, that wish will go unfulfilled - at least for now: the only two options buyers will have are the color and whether or not they want a sunroof.
We'll work on getting some more angles (in better light) today at Daytona International Speedway, but with fans seeing the car for the first time, we don't hold out much luck of getting a clear shot. So for now, enjoy the high-res gallery above.
