Cars2Charities will provide you with all the DMV
paperwork that you will need in order to register the vehicle.
Cars2Charities will provide all California buyers with
either a Smog Certificate at the cost of $58.25 (paid by the buyer) or a
"certificate of non-compliance". Smog test will be done after vehicle
is sold and determined that California buyer has purchased the vehicle. Please
call after you purchase the vehicle to request the smog test be made.
Vehicle info: You are looking at a recent donation to a local charity. This vehicle is well equipped. The vehicle has: V8 305 5.0 liter engine Automatic Transmission Air Conditioning Power Steering CD Player Alloy Wheels Bedliner This El Camino starts up and runs strong. It has some blue smoke on start up, but the engine is running strong. The transmission shifts good. The A/C doesn't work. This will make a great project car, it needs some love and care. The interior is all complete but it does show some wear. This will be easy for any California buyer to register the vehicle after smogging and paying all the fees in California. The Registration has Expired 01/2011. California buyers will be required to pay the DMV fees to register. **DMV fees, registration fees, transfer fees,
late penalties and smog fees are the sole responsibility of the buyer.
Payment and
Fees: Each vehicle will be charged a $150 buyer fee on top of the winning bid.
The deposit is a non refundable.
A deposit must be made within 24-48 hours of winning
bid.
Deposit can be made using Paypal online. The balance
of the winning bid and buyer fee will be paid at the time of pick up if you are
local.
All payments except the deposit will need to be

Delivery of
your purchased vehicle: Vehicles must be picked up within 3 business days of your
winning bid.

Chevy Sonic shreds like a skateboard
Tue, 19 Mar 2013Despite the fact that the 2013 Chevy Sonic is a fun, plucky little thing - especially in ever-so-slightly hotter RS guise - it is not, in fact, a skateboard. But don't tell that to rapper Theophilus London.
In General Motors' latest spot for the Chevrolet compact, London needs to make a quick run to the store for some milk. And even though, once again, the Sonic is not a skateboard, it ollies, pops and gets air because, you know, it's just so much fun to throw around.

GM throttles back Chevy Malibu, Buick LaCrosse production over swollen inventories
Wed, 06 Feb 2013As inventory of the Chevrolet Malibu and Buick LaCrosse continues to pile up, General Motors will be idling its Fairfax Assembly Plant for two weeks, according to Automotive News. This move comes about a month after the plant was shut down for three weeks in late December and early January for the same reason. As of January 31, the GM had a 94-day supply of Malibu stock while the LaCrosse was a little worse with a 117-day supply.
Just last week, GM announced that it would be investing $600 million in upgrading this plant, but it's unclear what future plans the company has in store for Fairfax considering slow sales of both the plant's models. We do expect a refreshed and more luxurious LaCrosse shortly and an early design update for the Malibu to be announced at some point this year, although we have had no official word as to when either will happen.
Helicopter crashes on Top Gear Korea set while chasing Corvette ZR1
Mon, 11 Feb 2013The formula of Top Gear Korea is seemingly about the same as it is everywhere else in the world, including the flagship British original: involve interesting cars in fantastical situations with charismatic hosts. That prescription has proved to be pretty reliable over the years, and has lead to some truly memorable and exciting pieces of television.
Something like that was undoubtedly what the Korean producers were after when they lined up this segment - a drag race between a Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 and an AH1 Cobra military helicopter. The planners almost certainly did not expect the filming of the segment to go quite as wrong as it actually did, with the helicopter actually crashing into the dirt after the "drag race" had been completed. Thankfully, we're told that no one was seriously injured in the crash, but the footage, in the video below, is pretty damn chilling to watch, nevertheless.
