You are bidding on an all original Chevy El Camino. I found this at an estate sale where the owner bought this car as an investment 4 years ago 8/28/2009 with only 57565 original miles. Today I am selling it with only 57857 miles. That means that this car has only accumulated a mere 292 miles in the last 4years!
When I found it I thought this car needs a good home as there are not many left that are 100% original. With the exception of some pitting and a couple small areas of surface rust, a cracked tail light lens and a loose headliner, this vehicle is in excellent condition. The engine and trans start and run out perfectly, the radio and a/c both work also.the frame and body are rock solid and the car is only missing 1 plastic wheel center cap. I feel that this vehicle will continue to appreciate as long as someone can care for it and garage it. I have no available garage space or I would consider keeping it.
I was shocked when I took this car to my local mechanic and he told me that the car was solid enough to pass PA state inspection with just replacing a single turn signal bulb. It obviously has  a new sticker on the car now.
Any questions please don't hesitate to email or call me at 717 341 8035.

GM takes heat for aborted Silverado riff on 'Boston Strong' at World Series

Thu, 31 Oct 2013

During game five of the World Series, Chevrolet was set to do a spot of marketing for the 2014 Silverado - fans at Busch Stadium in St. Louis would hold up placards that spelled out the words "Silverado Strong," a theme that Chevy has been promoting since the Silverado's launch with the song "Strong," by Will Hoge. The St. Louis promo was ultimately called off, though, over concerns that it'd be insensitive to the visiting Boston Red Sox. (You can see the image of what the stunt would have looked like above, courtesy of one timely Reddit user.)
Now, the Busch Stadium stunt might not have been a big deal, had the St. Louis Cardinals not been playing the Boston Red Sox. Following the tragic events in Boston during the marathon back in April, the phrase "Boston Strong" gained traction among the city's citizens, especially at sporting events. So, you can imagine that Chevy's appropriation of the phrase might not sit well with some fans.
The stunt was ultimately shelved after images of the signs went viral before the game, leading to a bit of a public backlash. Chevy spokesperson Michael Albano said of the promo that it was meant to show the brand's "commitment to baseball and its fans." But after the images went viral, the company "realized there was the possibility that we may offend some of the very fans we were trying to honor," Albano told Automotive News via email.

GM recalling 118K Colorado, Canyon pickups over missing hood latches

Thu, 20 Dec 2012

General Motors has announced a recall of 118,800 Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon pickup trucks due to the possibility of secondary hood latches not being installed at the time of manufacture. The affected vehicles are from the 2010, 2011 and 2012 model years, all of which were built between November 9, 2009 and August 28, 2012.
According to the official National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report, these trucks fail to "comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 113, 'Hood Latch System.' The hood may be missing the secondary hood latch." In other words, owners of these trucks could find their vehicles' hoods opening unexpectedly while driving.
The official recall campaign is expected to begin on January 17, 2013. Dealers will inspect the affected pickups and if a secondary hood latch is not present, one will be installed free of charge. Scroll down to read the official NHTSA report.
