HI AND THANKS FOR CHECKING OUT MY SS CAMINO. JUST GOT HER, AND BEING THE TYPICAL MALE I FOUND ANOTHER, SO IF I SELL THIS ONE I'LL GET IT, IF NOT, I'M SURE I'LL ENJOY RESTORING THIS ONE. IT'S IN PRETTY GOOD SHAPE, MOTOR SEEMS TO BE THE ORIGINAL 350, TWO BARREL CARB, RARE AUTO IN FLOOR WITH THE SWIVAL BUCKETS. WINDOWS ARE TINTED. AMERICAN RACING WHEELS. WHEN I BOUGHT IT LAST WEEK, WE DROVE IT ABOUT 30 MILES AT ABOUT 65 MPH. IT DID FINE. IF YOU LIVE A LONG DISTANCE AWAY, YOU MIGHT WANT TO HAVE IT TRAILORED, BUT IT MIGHT MAKE IT TO CALIFORNIA, ALL I KNOW IS IT RUNS GOOD NOW, BUT IT HAS SET UP FOR A FEW YEARS, AND THE CAR IS 28 YEARS OLD, AND EVEN THOUGH THE TIRES HAVE TREAD, I DON'T KNOW HOW OLD THEY ARE. CAR HAS BEEN REPAINTED AT SOME POINT, AND NOT THAT WELL EITHER. BODY IS SOLID, A LITTLE CRACKING ABOVE R/R WHEEL, SEE PICS. WILL ASSIST WITH SHIPPING, CAN BE PICKED UP AT THE DEALERSHIP I WORK AT. 300.00 NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT DUE WITHIN 24 HOURS OF AUCTION END. AFTER THAT, I DEAL IN CASH ONLY. THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION, SO BID TO WIN! I'M LOCATED IN BRISTOL TENNESSEE, NEAR THE RACE TRACK. CALL W/QUESTIONS: 423.646.2842
On Oct-17-13 at 15:36:03 PDT, seller added the following information: Sorry, the car is 38 years old. The odometer shows 87xxx miles, of course this is the 5 digit odometer, so it may have turned over and have 187xxx miles, but I can't be certain either way. On Oct-17-13 at 16:55:16 PDT, seller added the following information: If you have less than 10 positive feedback, please contact me before bidding. Everyone is welcome to bid, but it's expensive to list a car on Ebay, and I like most folks on here cannot afford a bogus bidder, because Ebay charges us anyway. Your bid is your contract, feel free to bid, but we do expect you to follow through. Now, happy bidding! |

2014 Chevrolet Corvette C7 Convertible offers a few more views before reveal
Mon, 04 Mar 2013Over the weekend, Chevrolet released its first images of the new 2014 Corvette Stingray Convertible. Now, ahead of the droptop's official introduction tomorrow at the Geneva Motor Show, the automaker has given us a few more shots of the softop C7 showing off the car's rump albeit from a high, strategically positioned angle.
From this angle, it's hard to get a sense for how long and flat the decklid really is, but we can easily see that, like the rest of the C7's design, the new convertible's decklid and tonneau cover are far more detailed than the current car. We also get a better look at the rear haunches sans brake vents, which have apparently been moved to underneath the car in order to accommodate the top's hard cover.
As for the overall styling of the C7 convertible, with the top erected, we get some idea of what a coupe design (as opposed to the Stingray's fastback shape) would look like on this car. The C5 Corvette most recently had a coupe model that did away with the large glass hatchback, and we recently reported on a low-cost "coupe" model potentially being added to the C7's repertoire.
2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray priced from $51,995*
Fri, 26 Apr 2013After months of speculation, Chevrolet has finally revealed the official starting price of the 2014 Corvette Stingray. The base MSRP for the 450-horsepower Stingray Coupe will be $51,995, while the Stingray Convertible will go for $56,995 (*both prices include a $995 destination fee). This means that the price increase from 2013 to 2014 is just $1,400 for the coupe and $2,395 for the convertible - pretty modest increases considering the upgrade in specifications. Of course, neither price accounts for the sort of dealer markup that might grace early C7 window stickers, especially since less than a third of all Chevrolet dealers will be allocated Corvette models to sell at the car's launch.
Now, these prices are for the base car, so if you're wondering how much a fully loaded Stingray will run, Chevy has given us a good indication of that as well. The coupe we saw on display at the Detroit Auto Show (shown above), for example, would run $73,360 including options such as the $2,800 Z51 Performance Package, $2,495 competition sport seats and the $1,795 Magnetic Ride Control option - just to name a few. Stepping up to the 3LT trim level that brings a full leather interior will run an extra $8,005 over the base price.
While $20,000 in options may seem like a lot, this "as-tested" price still has the C7 competitively priced against rival coupes like the Porsche 911 and Nissan GT-R. Speaking of price comparisons, Chevrolet also points out that the C7 Stingray Z51 costs $2,200 less than the C6 Grand Sport while delivering better acceleration (0-60 mph in less than four seconds) and improved track performance (including more than 1 g in cornering).
Use this PowerPoint when convincing your spouse to let you buy a Corvette
Thu, 14 Feb 2013When you are not the one in charge of the purse strings, creativity is a must when trying to get the string-holder to bankroll that next shiny object you just can't live without.
When I was a kid, I decided that life wasn't worth living if it weren't in pursuit of owning a GMC Typhoon. My 12-year-old self crafted a fiscal strategy that, when combined with my offer of a 49-percent share of ownership in the car in return for my parents' contribution of 80-percent of the purchase price, would see me behind the wheel of a Typhoon by the time I hit college. They walked away from the negotiating table and, the economic climate of the 8th grade being what it was at the time, another partner wasn't found before the Typhoon was discontinued.
Roy El-Rayes, however, has succeeded where 12-year-old me failed, and he did it by using the sort of professionalism that only a PowerPoint presentation can provide, along with some humor and bold-faced flattery.
