THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION HIGHEST BIDDER GETS IT!

This is a fully running custom 1965 Chevy ElCamino Rat Rod. This has been a long term project and is was a daily driver and is crazy fast. It has a 4.3 liter V-6, bored .30 over, cam, ported heads, double roller, Holly TBI, electric water pump, 700R4 trans, quick kick shift kit, alluminum drive shaft balanced, GTO Posi rear end with 355 gears, 4 wheel disc breaks with inserts for brake cooler tubes, new 265 copper JBA Stainless Steel headers, Magna Flow, all stainless steel exhaust, msd6A dist and coil, fiberglas tilt forward front end, with custom accessories way too numerious to list. (all custom work has been done with alluminum or stainless steel)

The Camino has custom interior and dash but kept the old school feel, electric windows, seats are from a camaro, the rims are from a camaro alluminum and new tires. You can see the attention to detail with the viny top and the intake headlight it has the ram air like the 6o's racing cars in the high beam collector. It has the original grill but the entire breaking system and suspension is set up for racing and speed, consequentially there is NO brake booster on the 4 wheel disk brakes. The body work is done and it's primered the original trim and side mirrors are original and in excellent condition. You can send it to your shop and finish it with you're choice of color's, it also needs a carpet kit but has a new wiring harness from a camaro to match the motor and everything operates as it should and you would intend it too. This Camino has in excess of $10,000 in custom work and upgrades.

I have another project I am working on and my wife would like to park back in the driveway (lol).  It has California plates but is currently unregistered (tags are expired) and it has a clear but paperless title. If you are out of state it is up to you to set up delivery and pick up. The Camino runs well but I would suggest trailering it if you live more then 3-400 miles away. The Camino is a classic and is being sold without any warranties and in as-is condition. If you have any questions email me please as there is lots of custom and upgrades not mentioned.

Why does the Corvette Stingray have so many vents? Here's why

Sun, 27 Jan 2013

Just looking at the new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, it's not hard to see that the car's design was created with aerodynamics at the forefront, but Chevrolet designers point out exactly what went into designing the iconic coupe in a pair of recently released videos. The videos show the Corvette going through early design phases, including clay models and wind tunnel tests, as well as talking to the car's chief engineer, Tadge Juechter.
Both videos help explain various aspects of the C7 Corvette, but it's the aero tuning of the car that is most interesting. This includes extra attention paid to the lower air dam and vented hood to help reduce drag and lift, while the rear quarter inlets are for differential and transmission cooling. Juechter said that some of these aero-tuned elements were inspired from GM's involvement in racing.
If you have about five minutes and you can't get enough information about the new 'Vette, then check out the videos posted below.

Chevy to show redesigned Captiva in Geneva, will it come to US rental lots?

Wed, 27 Feb 2013

Unless you're renting a car or driving through Orlando, Florida (the rental car capital of the US), you'll probably never see a Chevrolet Captiva - the rebadged, fleet-only version of the old Saturn Vue - on our roads, but this crossover is popular in many other parts of the world. As such, Chevrolet announced that the Captiva will be getting an update for 2013, which will be unveiled next week at the Geneva Motor Show.
Coming off a pretty extensive refresh in 2011, the 2013 model year will bring even more changes to the Captiva like LED taillights, new 18-inch wheels and revised fascias with a new grille and fog lights up front and inset chrome exhaust outlets at the rear. New interior features include heated rear seats, dual-zone climate control as well as available options on some of the upper trim levels such as leather seating and keyless entry and start. We have yet to hear back from Chevrolet as to whether or not the updated Captiva will be making its way to a rental lot near you, as the model is only available in the US to fleet buyers.
Alongside the updated Captiva, Chevy is also showing off its new Trax in Europe, where the subcompact crossover will go on sale this spring. GM's press release for these two Geneva-bound models is posted below.

GM won't sell 2014 Chevrolet SS in Canada

Thu, 21 Feb 2013

Allow us to be the first to extend our condolences to our friends to the north. General Motors has announced the 2014 Chevrolet SS will not be available in Canada. The Globe and Mail reports the automaker has confirmed the high-performance sedan won't hit Canadian dealers, though GM hasn't offered up any reasoning as to why that is.
Buyers here in the US of A, meanwhile, can look forward to getting their hands on the 415-horspower, rear-wheel drive SS by late summer. Something tells us it won't be long after that before Canadian officials start seeing individually imported 6.2-liter V8 four-doors in their neighborhoods. Fortunately, Canadian buyers will still be able to take home the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette. The C7 bowed at the Canadian International Auto Show last week, reportedly drawing sizable crowds and interest.
