  • Up for sale is my 1996 Corvette Collector Edition Hatchback Coupe in Excellent Condition: exterior, interior and mechanically. This car is equipped with the 6 speed manual transmission which is more rare than the automatic. The Collector Edition was available in Sebring Silver Metallic paint only. It has a tinted glass removable roof. The interior in this car is Light Gray Leather. The paint is virtually flawless with its original shine. The interior is virtually unmarked with any signs of wear. Special 5 spoke wheels were fitted to the Collector Edition and the color matches the paint. The Collector Edition (only with the 6 speed manual) is fitted with the LT4 engine, the same engine as in the 1996 Corvette Grand Sport. It produces 330 horsepower and 340 ft-lb of torque (an increase of 30 horsepower and 5 ft-lb of torque with a far better and flatter torque curve over the standard LT1 engine found in standard Corvettes of the same year and prior years). The LT4 engine is incredibly robust and reliable and the car has traction control (called ASR by Chevrolet). My car has also been fitted with a cat-back Magnaflow Stainless Steel Exhaust system and an AFE high performance lifetime air filter. Actual mileage on the car is 81,xxx. New tires and battery. A/C ice cold, All scheduled maintenance, Always garaged, Excellent condition, Looks & drives great, New tires and battery, No accidents, Non-smoker, Title in hand, Very clean interior, Well maintained. Clean CarFax.

  • The 1996 Corvette Collector Edition in this condition with this low mileage is generally considered to be worth between $13,000 and $14,000. I am looking for a quick sale.

  • PLEASE NOTE MY 100% POSITIVE FEEDBACK.

Any questions please ask prior to bidding. I am asking $12,500 but I will entertain serious offers. Call or text Ron at 717-577-6522

Read This: Auto Extremist advocates for Corvette as brand with multiple models [w/poll]

Fri, 25 Jan 2013

The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette really grinds Peter De Lorenzo's gears. Or, more accurately, the self-anointed Auto Extremist has an issue with what he sees as mismanagement of the legendary sports car by General Motors executives. In a new editorial on his website, De Lorenzo argues it's time to split Corvette off from Chevrolet to create an all-new brand, complete with a model range with at least three new takes on the sports car. Capable of fully leveraging the successes of the Corvette Racing program and brandishing the full might of GM's technical prowess, the Corvette brand would theoretically give Porsche something to sweat over.
Sure, that sounds like a party, but given GM's troubled track record when it comes to launching (let alone managing) brands, we say that's slippery slope that could just as easily end with the whole Corvette franchise in the scrap bin. Either way, the notion is certainly an interesting one. Head over to Auto Extremist to take in the full editorial, and then let us know what you think in Comments. Should GM split off its most storied nameplate?

2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra show all their sides in Detroit

Tue, 15 Jan 2013

There could hardly be more riding on the next-generation General Motors full-size pickup trucks, so the automaker has wisely made sure to have a selection of different models on hand at the Detroit Auto Show to show off. The 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and 2014 GMC Sierra were both officially introduced last month at a stand-alone reveal, and now they'll be on display for the public to see in various body configurations and trim levels.
The Silverado LTZ Crew Cab and Sierra SLE Extended Cab are aimed at providing more of a high-end pickup experience, while the Silverado LT Z71 Extended Cab and Sierra SLT Z71 Crew Cab should have off-road fans scouting out their favorite trails. The crew cab trucks won't go into production until sometime during the second quarter of this year - with other bodystyles coming later in the year - but we have plenty of live images from Detroit for you to enjoy.
