Hello all,

here is a vehicle that has been in our family since it was first purchased from the dealership back in 1987. My Grandfather was the original owner, and now, as his Grandson, I am selling it after many years of enjoyment. The reason for the sale is simple: in recent times, and as the family is now more scattered abroad, there is far less incentive to drive it and it tends to just sit for LONG periods of time. This Corvette needs to find a new home where it will be driven and appreciated.

There are some cosmetic issues, albeit fairly minor.

-Sun Rash (especially on the roof).

-Interior Ceiling Liner has been removed.

-Fabric in the back is old and starting to thin (fibers simply come off if rubbed too hard).

-Electronics work just fine, but the gas indicator light always remains "ON" now, and I ran out of gas once with 3 bars left (indicating I should have had about a quarter tank or so left). Maybe a sensor is out?

I believe that's it. I'm not 100%sure of the drive type, but I suppose I can test for that somehow. Any questions, please just ask. I'm not a car person, but I am as transparent and honest as humanly possible. Just check  my feedback. I will answer to the best of my knowledge and ability, and will be around to show the car if any of you wish to take a look or drive it.

Thank you for looking and hope to hear from you!

SERIOUS BUYERS ONLY, PLEASE. IF PURCHASED, PLEASE BE PREPARED TO PAY IMMEDIATELY. NO GAMES. SO WE CAN BOTH MOVE ON WITH OUR LIVES!!!

Was the C7 Corvette cut from Beyonce's Super Bowl halftime show?

Tue, 05 Feb 2013

Someone was bound to receive a free 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray during the Super Bowl XLVII festivities; it just wasn't who we thought it was going to be. Despite a report back in December that superstar Beyoncé Knowles would be getting an all-new Corvette during her halftime performance, that turned out not to be the case. Joe Flacco, starting quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens, did in fact win a Corvette for his MVP performance.
So what transpired that prevented Beyoncé from rolling on stage in the new Chevrolet? Anyone who knows isn't telling, but according to Yahoo! Autos, General Motors said that for one reason or another a deal "did not work out," and it appears to have been an eleventh-hour change. Regardless of who's to blame or what prevented this from happening, we're sure Chevy has had no problems getting attention for the C7 Corvette since it was introduced last month.

Use this PowerPoint when convincing your spouse to let you buy a Corvette

When you are not the one in charge of the purse strings, creativity is a must when trying to get the string-holder to bankroll that next shiny object you just can't live without.
When I was a kid, I decided that life wasn't worth living if it weren't in pursuit of owning a GMC Typhoon. My 12-year-old self crafted a fiscal strategy that, when combined with my offer of a 49-percent share of ownership in the car in return for my parents' contribution of 80-percent of the purchase price, would see me behind the wheel of a Typhoon by the time I hit college. They walked away from the negotiating table and, the economic climate of the 8th grade being what it was at the time, another partner wasn't found before the Typhoon was discontinued.
Roy El-Rayes, however, has succeeded where 12-year-old me failed, and he did it by using the sort of professionalism that only a PowerPoint presentation can provide, along with some humor and bold-faced flattery.

Hot Wheels' Twitter-enabled vending machine coughs up free Camaro diecasts

Wed, 27 Feb 2013

There are still plenty of companies that haven't gotten the whole social media thing down pat yet, but Hot Wheels isn't one of them. During the recent Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto, Hot Wheels created a lot of buzz for itself by using a vending machine filled with Chevrolet Camaro models, but instead of money to get the cars, show attendees just had to use Twitter.
To get the free car, people were asked to send a tweet to Hot Wheels Canada saying what they liked about the new Hot Wheels Edition Camaro, and including the #ChevyCIAS hashtag. This seemed to be a popular marketing tool, too, as AdWeek reports that the @HotWheelsCanada account more than tripled in followers during the course of the 10-day show. Looking ahead, this could open up even more innovative marketing possibilities using social media.
Check out the video posted below to watch how it works, and while the auto show has ended and the free-car giveaway has too, we're almost certain that some of the 1,500 freebies will make their way onto eBay.
