The car has been in storage many years but is a perfect car to freshen up or restore!! The body is mint never hit all the original bonding seems are perfect even the original bumpers have no stress cracking just some paint fade!!! The paint is 100% original and for 35 years old looks good (its dull may polish up) NO BUBBLES NO SPIDER CRACKS will be a very easy car to repaint NO BODY WORK DONE OR NEEDED (One chip in fender and drivers head light door needs to be replaced thats all I see)! The interior is mostly original (Radio changed) and again for its age looks good (not perfect) dash has no crack gauges are not faded (has correct L82 Tach and 140mph speedo) seats need to recovered etc. T-tops come on and off the way the should. Under the hood everything seems to be original the car does start right up seems to run good does drive in the driveway (Thats as much as I know) but it has been sitting a long time so it should be gone over and brakes bleed before it goes back on the road. Tarantino's stolen Chevy Malibu from Pulp Fiction recovered after 19 years [w/video]
Mon, 29 Apr 2013Quentin Tarantino fans will likely remember Vincent Vega's cherry 1964 Chevrolet Malibu Convertible in Pulp Fiction. In a movie drenched in automotive references, the Malibu is very nearly a character in and of itself, and it serves as the subject of Vega's soliloquy about the kind of man who vandalizes another's automobile. It also happened to be Tarantino's personal car when the film was shot, and was apparently stolen shortly after production wrapped. Now police have located the car some 19 years later.
As it turns out, the thieves cloned the vehicle identification number from another '64 Malibu and had the car registered under the new digits. It was then sold to an unsuspecting buyer. Police happened upon the duplicate VINs while investigating another potential theft. Right now, it's unclear whether Tarantino has taken possession of the Chevrolet, if it has remained in the possession of the fraud victim, or whether it's caught somewhere in the gears of justice. Either way, you can catch Vega's memorable thoughts on the car keying in the Pulp Fiction clip below. But consider yourself warned: the video contains explicit language as Not Safe For Work as it comes.
2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Convertible is the track car for sun worshippers
Fri, 11 Apr 2014
Supercharged, 6.2-liter V8? Check. Seven-speed manual? Check. Obsession with weight? Check.
What did you expect when Chevrolet said it was bringing a new Corvette variant to the 2014 New York Auto Show? Maybe a sticker and trim package, like the C6 Corvette Grand Sport or a tie-in deal like the Black Widow car from Chicago? On the opposite end, maybe there was an even more hardcore Z06 waiting in the wings. Who knew?
