Beautifully restored 1970 Corvette Stingray convertible, with a numbers matching professionally rebuilt 350/300HP engine, and original automatic transmission. The car was repainted in 2005, and features a stunning shine in the same Bridgehamption Blue (code 979) this Stingray originally left the factory with in 1970. The chrome is in excellent condition, and really shines.

The paint and body are in great condition, with only a few minor flaws. All instruments are in good working condition, including the new vacuum line enabled hideaway headlights and windshield wipers. The powerful 350/30HP engine starts easily, runs strong, and does not overheat. The engine and engine compartment are very clean and detailed, and features just the right amount of eye catching chrome. The original exhaust manifolds have been replaced with headers for a more aggressive look and increased horsepower. With a restored suspension, this car runs tight and right, and is very fast and fun!

The bright blue interior is in good condition, as is the new black convertible soft top. This C3 features new carpet (professionally installed). A new NOS radiator was installed, as well as newer Flowmaster Series 40 mufflers that really make for a loud, aggressive, and great sound. All factory trim is included, and correctly installed. The car features tilt-steering, power steering and power disc brakes. The factory static reducing electronic shielding and chrome exhaust tips are included, but not presently installed on the car. The car features an updated, yet correct retro in appearance, car stereo with a USB connector, and upgraded speakers in back of the seats. Included with sale is a folder of well documented restoration receipts and information.

This is an absolutely fantastic Corvette Stingray, that is in excellent running condition, and beautifully restored. It is a favorite at car shows and cruise-ins. While firm, fast and fun, the automatic transmission makes this car very easy to drive. This 1970 Corvette Stringray is also a great investment.

Chevy Sonic shreds like a skateboard

Tue, 19 Mar 2013

Despite the fact that the 2013 Chevy Sonic is a fun, plucky little thing - especially in ever-so-slightly hotter RS guise - it is not, in fact, a skateboard. But don't tell that to rapper Theophilus London.
In General Motors' latest spot for the Chevrolet compact, London needs to make a quick run to the store for some milk. And even though, once again, the Sonic is not a skateboard, it ollies, pops and gets air because, you know, it's just so much fun to throw around.
If this video looks familiar to you, it's because this is the full ad that we first got a preview of in Chevy's longer, full-line spot, where the brand's "Find New Roads" tagline was introduced. Scroll down to see this dedicated Sonic spot, along with the older ad, and remember, the Sonic is still - still - not a skateboard.

Dodge vs. Chevy tug-of-war taken to the extreme

Mon, 17 Dec 2012

They say "idle hands are the devil's playground," but said playgrounds grow to Disney-sized proportions when a pair of jacked-up trucks, two egos, a chain and an empty mall parking lot are involved. Proof of this is the video below, which shows a Cummins-powered Dodge Ram circa 2006 to 2008 chained tail-to-tail with what looks to be a gasoline-powered Chevrolet Silverado from the late 1990s or early 2000s.
We don't necessarily have to tell you who wins this battle, but we'll let you see for yourself the lengths the "winning" driver goes to prove his point. There's plenty of foul language in the video below, so beware that this might be Not Safe For Work, and not that we should have to tell you, but please, do not try this at home.

Amelia Island 2013: Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray from concepts to split windows

Wed, 13 Mar 2013

While this year marks 60 years of the Chevrolet Corvette, the 2013 Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance focused on one of the coupe's most sought after models, the 1963 Sting Ray. General Motors design boss Ed Welburn was on hand to show off the all-new C7 Corvette, but even the hard-edged styling of the 2014 Stingray couldn't take away from the beautiful 1963 models sitting out on the field.
In addition to the original Sting Ray and the 1959 Sting Ray Concept, some of the other classic 'Vettes included "Big Tank" racecars, an interesting cutaway coupe, a right-hand-drive Z06 and the attention-grabbing 1963 Corvette Rondine by Pininfarina. Another impressive Corvette was the 1964 Corvette XP-819 rear-engine prototype. Owner Mike Yager had the car finished as a driving chassis for this year's show, but promises the car will be back to its original glory in time for next year's event.
