Car history:
1969 Corvette Convertible, 350, 4 speed, power steering, the mileage is unknown. This is not an expensive show car, this is a DRIVER that This could be a matching number car, the engine has been decked and the engine is removed and comes with the car. The car had front suspension parts, clutch, and pressure plate and throw out bearing replaced. The brakes are excellent and it shifts very smoothly. The headlights go up and down like they are suppose to work. Since I know the car, I would not be afraid to take it on a long distance trip tomorrow, but like all things that are mechanical and electrical, it might not make it out of town. There is one bubble in the paint on the top rear passenger side about the size of silver dollar. It has been there since I have owned the car. Since I have owned the car it has never seen rain or nighttime driving. It is kept under cover in a climate controlled building. If you want a Corvette to enjoy driving, then this is the car for you. It has 4 wheel disc brakes. The tach and engine parts suggest that is was originally a 350ci/300 hp car, but there is an upgrade intake manifold. I have included pictures of the dash, speedometer, engine, the plate above the driver's door hinge below the windshield and front of the engine on the 1" ledge on the passenger side between the head and block, next to the water pump. This is the previous owners Car history.

I have sinced removed the engine and replaced with a 1969 350/350hp Corvette Engine, the engine that was in the car had been decked and I could not read the numbers on the front pad to verify if it is a numbers matching engine, I looked up the casting on the back and that is correct. I have taken off the PO2 hubcaps and replaced with Beauty Rings and Center Caps. I like this look much better. I also replaced the dash pad. The car has alot of new parts that were not listed by the previous owner. All new power steering componets, front end was rebuilt, new shocks, new drive shaft and half shafts have new u-joints. new rear leaf spring, and the trailing arms have been replaced, new E-Brake componets, new battery cables, new wiper motor. I did replace the clutch with a duel friction center force clutch to accomadate the new power. I also resealed the M-20 transmission and replaced the shifting fork inside. The car has a 3.08 rear and I would like to replace with a 3.73. I would also like to install Flowmaster 40's on it to give the nice sound. Since the rebuild I have about 10 miles on the engine, I was deployed to Iraq for the past 9 months. The engine is a 11-1 compression with Pink Rods. I can provide more information on the engine, you will be very Happy with the performance of the engine. It has a new HEI Dizzy.

The car is missing the spare tire carrier and a couple of interior pieces that finish off the rear compartment. I am also learning what parts are correct. I am not looking to have a 100% parts and numbers matching car, I just want it to look nice and to be dependable.

You can go on c3registry.org/index.php?job=ShowCorvette&car_id=16351 to more pictures and also you can go on Youtube and look up Harris1507 to see and hear the car running. The car also can be seen on the forums.corvetteforum.com/members/harris1507-408423-albums-garage-randy-27367.html

I have the Delivery Dealer Zone and Code from NCRS

You can e-mail me to ask anymore questions about the car, if you provide a phone number I will call you back. I don't need to sell and I am not broke so no low ballers. I will gladly show the car, please feel free to come and inspect or have someone come and look at it. The car also comes with the engine that came in the car complete except the starter, also the original dash pad and the PO2 hub caps. I'll even throw in the MSD distributer and 6A MSD

The original color was Riverside Gold with Black Interior

GM won't pay owners of recalled cars for lost value

Thu, 12 Jun 2014

Kenneth Feinberg, the man in charge of the General Motors compensation fund dealing with the its widespread ignition switch woes, has issued an informal, two-letter response to the plaintiffs in more than 70 lawsuits seeking redress for lost resale value of their Cobalts: "No." The cases were recently combined into one, but Feinberg told The Detroit News that the fund will deal "only with death and physical injury claims," and that "perceived diminished value" will get no consideration.
ALG, the firm specializing in establishing residual values, determined that Cobalt owners had lost $300 compared to the segment competition and doesn't envision any long-term effects from the recall situation. Feinberg's statement comes in advance of public details on how the compensation fund will work and adheres to GM's long-held position on the matter. The company has already asked a judge to throw out such suits using the pre-bankruptcy defense, even as it stopped using that defense in cases of injury and death.
With plenty of potential gain from the GM suit, however, don't expect the plaintiffs to give up yet. When Toyota was sued for the same reason during the unintended acceleration debacle, it eventually settled the case for between $1 billion and $1.4 billion just to get it over with. Since the 85 law firms involved in the Toyota litigation took home more than $250 million of that total, we shouldn't expect the attorneys to give up on a GM payout, either.

Survey says $25k barrier is a problem for EVs

Sun, 01 Dec 2013

The majority of consumers are more or less priced out of the market.
Electric cars are gaining popularity with the general public, but are they still too expensive? According to a survey 1,084 consumers by Navigant Research, a consulting firm located in Boulder, CO, 71 percent want their next car to cost under $25,000, while 41 percent won't go a cent above $20K. Looks like people are even thriftier than we'd originally thought.
