1961 Chevrolet Corvette on 2040-cars
Montverde, Florida, United States
For more pictures email at: saundrassstreets@clubjaguar.com .
For Sale is this 1961 Chevrolet Corvette. This Corvette roadster is a beauty and went through a full restoration
completed a year ago. The person I bought it from had it for 27 year and it was a labor of love. The previous owner
and his brother built it together for years and completed it right before his brother died from cancer. I have only
owned it a short period of time but have decided I do not have the time to enjoy. I have taken it to three car
shows and won trophies at all of them. One thing I was blown away by was how much attention this Corvette gets from
people young and old. I am amazed at the quality of competition in these shows with other makes but it seems like
everyone is attracted to the Corvette.
The White and Gray Cove exterior and the Gray interior is a class act. I added a custom 15" leather steering wheel
and Loyd custom embroidered matts to really make this thing shine. It's car show ready and looks amazing driving
down the road. (See video.)
4 speed manual with a 327 engine. I have all the paperwork from the renovation and also the paperwork for the extra
workI have put into it. Black New Convertible top. Original steering wheel comes with it. Also, if you are
purchasing in Florida I have a "Sixty 1" License plate that can be bought with it. The car has only 2 small
blemishes on the whole car. see pics. They are very hard to see. Everything else on the car is cherry.

Watch NASCAR racer Jeff Gordon put one over on a used car dealer... sorta
Wed, 13 Mar 2013Full Disclosure: in my younger days, I loved nothing more than tormenting passengers with my behind-the-wheel hijinks. Once, after a particularly artful handbrake turn on a two-lane at around 50 miles per hour, I left one backseat occupant crying in their own lap. This isn't necessarily something to be proud of, but it gives you a glimpse into why it is that I find this ad from Pepsi so damn disappointing. The premise is beautiful. Take NASCAR legend Jeff Gordon, give him a disguise and set him loose upon some unsuspecting used car dealer. Hilarity ensues.
Except that this Pepsi Max commercial is so obviously staged, it can't help but feel like some ham-fisted marketing fail. From the strategically placed aftermarket cupholder mounted mid-dash for the hidden camera to the fact that the supposed dealer Camaro is displayed as a 2009 model (Hint: Chevrolet didn't make any), this clip is about as organic as a Twinkie. Still, we would never turn down a chance to watch Gordon thrash on a rental-spec coupe - only problem is, he probably didn't even do the driving himself. Check it out below.
Supercharged 2015 Chevy Corvette Z06 takes the C7 beyond the ZR1
Mon, 13 Jan 2014
The Z06 is just about everything we got in the last ZR1, but better.
After a bright-yellow false start, here is the real thing: the fourth-generation, 2015 Corvette Z06. If Chevrolet makes a ZR1 version of the C7 Corvette, it's going to be absolutely mega, because the Z06 is just about everything we got in the last ZR1, but better.
2015 Chevrolet Cruze spied on its home turf
Tue, 23 Apr 2013The next Chevrolet Cruze isn't set to go into production for about another year, and we're just now seeing prototypes of the new compact running around here in the States. Not much more has been revealed since we saw the car blasting through the snow in Europe, but we can still clearly see new design elements like the larger grille, slimmer headlamps and redesigned taillamps.
Our spy photographers worked up a composite image of this Cruze prototype alongside the current model, and here, we can clearly see some big visual changes are in store for the new model. The 2015 Cruze's hood slopes downward more dramatically, the windshield is more heavily raked, and the roofline looks more fluid overall. The next-generation Cruze will ride on the new global Delta platform that will also underpin other General Motors vehicles like the Chevrolet Volt and Equinox.
As for what's under the hood, we expect the normal range of gasoline four-cylinder engines (both naturally aspirated and turbocharged), and the compact's new turbodiesel four should carry over, as well. Have a look at the full brace of spy photos in the gallery above.
